As the name suggests, Lancaster Bible College is committed first and
foremost to the Bible. While degrees are offered in a range of subjects,
Biblical teachings remain the foundation and central focus of all studies
and of student life. Located in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, Lancaster Bible College offers
undergraduate degrees through seven distinctive departments. These are
Arts and Sciences, Bible and Theology, Church and Ministry Leadership,
Counseling and Social Work, Education, Health and Physical Education and
Worship and Performing Arts. Graduate degrees are offered in Leadership, Adult Ministries, Marriage
and Family Counseling, Mental Health Counseling and School Counseling.
There are also several graduate certificate programs in ministerial and
pastoral fields. Since study at Lancaster Bible College is primarily grounded in the
Bible, all fields of study integrate Biblical scriptures, teachings and
beliefs. Lancaster Bible College believes that fulfillment of God's purpose and
fulfillment of Biblical teachings in all areas of one's life, including
one's career, helps students not only with the practical aspects of
career development, but also help students to see their career in terms
of their spiritual purpose. Student life is also aimed at helping students to grow and expand
spiritually. Therefore, many worship and service opportunities exist on
campus. These include mandatory chapel services, one-on-one
faculty/student mentoring, weekly worship sessions, student ministry, and
various fellowship groups. Other clubs and organizations at Lancaster are intended to help students
cultivate their talents. These include musical performance groups,
student government, theater organizations, athletic teams and various
clubs. Most students live on campus in dormitories, which gives them the
