Job Description
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance Manager, Plastics, to join our team.
In this role, you will mentor and develop our Quality Engineer team and also help align our new material and product standards, specifications, and testing protocols to guarantee the best products for our consumers. The position also requires coaching and training our Research, Design and Development (RD&D) team on appropriate testing standards to enable alignment of product design and product performance requirements. Applicants should have expertise in ASTM and other testing standards and be able to readily identify appropriate test standards for each application-and are comfortable communicating across all levels of the organization. The ideal candidate also possesses an in-depth understanding of the manufacturing and raw material processing and handling in global manufacturing environments.

Coach and develop the Quality Engineer team with a focus on toys, plastics, print, soft goods and wood products
Review product expectations and identify appropriate safety, reliability and durability testing as part of a complete product test plan
Present product test plans and test results to RD&D and Supply Chain leadership to facilitate informed product decisions
Analyze test results to summarize product performance against testing requirements
Identify industry standards for raw-material and finished-product testing
Collaborate with In-House Lab Managers to identify required testing capabilities
Participate in failure analysis and facilitate baseline testing for product improvement projects
Lead and/or support root-cause analysis in support of root-cause and corrective-action activities
Collaborate with Product Integrity and Compliance teams
Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, science or quality management
5+ years of product engineering experience
5+ years of implementing quality engineering processes
3+ years of managing teams
Proven work experience in quality, engineering, and testing standards
Experience working with third-party testing labs

Extensive regulatory knowledge within the toy industry
Deep experience managing and coaching teams

Actively improving data quality by working with internal and external partners

Soft goods, metal and wood product experience a plus

Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to simplify technical information to drive decision-making
Good understanding of quality process and testing in design engineering work
Experience applying voice of the customer and end use in design engineering work

For this position, new employees joining Lakeshore who live within Los Angeles and Orange Counties are typically brought into the organization at an hourly rate between $18.03-$23.32 depending on relevant experience & skillset.
This range is indicative of projected hiring range. The annual base compensation will take into account each candidate's relevant experience, location, and skillset.

The UNIQLO Loss Prevention Area Manager is responsible for the management of all Loss Prevention programs and personnel in their assigned area. The Loss Prevention Area Manager is responsible for achieving shortage and safety goals through effective partnerships with operations, HR and store personnel. Required to perform other duties as assigned.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for managing and training Loss Prevention staff personnel for each assigned location
Create and audit shortage action plans in assigned area
Manage and maintain all loss prevention equipment that includes but not limited to CCTV, access control, EAS and alarm systems.
Manage all internal and external investigation programs targeting the reduction of theft and fraud
Responsible for enforcing the policies and standards of the Loss Prevention department and the company
Implement and manage training and awareness programs
Build positive business relationships both within and outside of the company
Regular, dependable attendance & punctuality
SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:
Significant experience in Internal Investigation including use of exception reporting systems and internal investigation interviewing
Significant experience in managing external apprehension programs; Proven ability to interface with law enforcement and legal professionals on both criminal and civil matters
Experience and knowledge of current security technology, CCTV, & covert surveillance; Electronic Article Surveillance Burglar and Fire alarm systems
Must have strong business acumen, intelligence and creativity
Strong leadership drive and negotiating skills
Ability to apply sound business principles and practices
Ability to train and develop staff and maintain documentation in an organized manner
Ability to promote accountability and manage the performance of remote personnel with varying skill sets
Must have excellent communications, strong strategic skills, sound business judgment, and proven consultative skills with all levels of management
Excellent presentation skills, both verbal and written
Must be proficient in MS Office applications, including Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access
Bachelor degree preferred
Travel required
Minimum 6-8 years Retail Loss Prevention Management experience, including responsibilities for District/Regional Executives and teams
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and company needs
COMPENSATION
Salary: $85,000 annually
