Flex houseparents provide a consistent family-like structure for students and handle responsibilities such as driving, administering medication, budgeting, reporting, etc. When initially hired, flex houseparents cover different student homes before being assigned to one specific home.     WIC Call Center District 4 Public Health 301 Main Street Lagrange, GA 30240 Under direct supervision, works and communicates with the general public, internal customers and/or external customers to provide information and services targeted to meet customer expectations. All District 4 Public Health, County BOH employees are deemed essential employees in the event of an emergency. As such, you may be called on to participate in an event not limited to but including, staffing a shelter, a Specimen Point of Collection Site (SPOC) and/or Point of Dispensing site (POD). Job Responsibilities Interprets accurately and completely between healthcare providers and patients, ensuring clear communication. Maintains confidentiality and adheres to ethical standards while interpreting sensitive medical information. Facilitates understanding between healthcare providers and patients by interpreting medical terminology and instructions. Assists with accurately completing intake forms and medical history documentation in both languages. Provides cultural mediation when necessary to bridge communication gaps and ensure cultural competence in care delivery. Serves as a patient advocate by ensuring patients' concerns and questions are effectively communicated to healthcare providers. Helps patients navigate the healthcare system by providing information on services, procedures, and follow-up care. Stays updated on medical terminology and best practices in interpretation to maintain high-quality services. Assists with front desk duties. Provides quality customer service to all customers. Makes appointments; follows up with missed appointments by calling client to reschedule. Follows communication “scripts” when scheduling the appropriate appointment. Identifies customers' needs, clarifies information, provides solutions, refers programs/resources. Handles all client inquiries. Enters new client information into the system. Updates existing client information. Able to adapt to changing policy and procedures. Must abide by strict confidentiality requirements and all HIPPA guidelines. Must be an active listener with strong phone and verbal communication skills. Assists with clinic and call center outreach activities as assigned.
