Axia's full service, state-of-the-art laboratory performs anatomic pathology, clinical pathology, and molecular (DNA-based) testing. The Molecular Technologist performs clinical molecular diagnostic testing, including molecular genetics testing and is a key member of our laboratory team, helping Axia to provide full scope of services to Axia Women's Health patients.
The ideal candidate possesses a working knowledge of molecular biology with experience in the performance and application of techniques used in clinical molecular diagnostic testing including: DNA and RNA isolation, real-time PCR, DNA sequencing and other related molecular diagnostic techniques. Candidate should have the ability to follow standard protocols and to independently perform laboratory routine testing in the area of molecular pathology.
This position is a full-time on-site position in Oaks, PA. Hours are Monday - Friday 7a - 330p with rotating Sunday for a few hours.
Essential Functions
Independently and accurately perform routine and complex molecular testing, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
Review preliminary and final test results.
Assist in resolution of technical problems in accordance with laboratory policies and procedures.
Record, compile, and maintain records according to laboratory policies to ensure state and federal regulations are upheld for all reagents, procedures, and equipment used in the testing process.
Assists with maintenance and calibration of lab equipment.

Ability to independently perform routine laboratory testing in molecular pathology.
