Position Summary
Responsible for working within the scope of laboratory policies and procedures to provide specimen processing, test performance and result reporting. Performs test procedures authorized by the Medical Laboratory Director; with the degree of skill commensurate with individual education, training, experience and technical abilities. Insure that all laboratory testing is performed according to established protocols or procedures. Exercise professional judgment in evaluation and assessment of test performance, sample integrity, result accuracy and validity. Follows all safety practices and maintains ongoing competency to ensure high quality testing services. He/she also supports professional development.
Position Responsibilities
Standard Work Duties: Medical Technologist (PRN)
Participates in day-to-day operations in the laboratory to facilitate workflow, maximize output, and decrease turnaround times
Follows laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analysis, reporting and maintaining records of patient results
Utilizes job knowledge, judgment, and problem solving skills to ensure specimen quality
Operates, troubleshoots, and takes appropriate action when needed on all test systems
Identifies issues that may adversely affect test performance or reporting of test results and takes appropriate action including supervisory notification if indicated
Participates in laboratory quality assurance programs including proficiency testing
Follows established safety and biohazard procedures and standard precautions at all times. Disposes of biohazard waste following laboratory protocols (Laboratory Safety Manual and Chemical Hygiene Plan)
Monitor quality control of laboratory instruments and test assays. Communicate with supervisor as needed. Responsible for routine preventive maintenance, minor repair, and troubleshooting of instruments
Supports professional development by assisting with training and/or competency assessments for coworkers, new employees, and students.
Ensures exceptional customer service is provided through prompt follow-up to requests for information via telephone or computer

The HCOA Sheet Metal Tech is responsible to identify, prep, and assemble all production parts assigned to his work center. The HCOA Sheet Metal Tech shall identify, prep, construct aircraft, assemblies, and parts, within estimated time and in accordance with applicable HCOA, and customer work instructions without deviation.
1. Operator reads a Mylar, or MI to determine the details needed to assemble production parts.
2. Prepare surfaces by all HCOA Engineering methods and techniques, and ensure that they meet aerodynamic smoothness, quality, and placement requirements.
3. Work with little or no supervision.
4. Work constructively, and cohesively.
5. Follow all applicable specifications to accomplish a specific task.
6. Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
7. Perform work within allocated hours.
8. Follow all safety procedures and specifications.
9. Execute all required paperwork in connection with assigned normal duties.

• Must be able to perform close tolerance drilling to prepare for fastener installation.

• Perform the assigned production tasks in accordance with engineering specs, MIs, HWIs.
• Perform high quality and airworthy work in accordance with the engineering instructions provided to them by the Production Manager and/or their Lead.

What Nuclear Manufacturing contributes to Cardinal Health
Nuclear Manufacturing is responsible for the manufacturing of time sensitive radiopharmaceuticals in an integrity driven, highly regulated environment (i.e. FDA, NRC, DOT) to support patient treatment through disease diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.
The primary work environment consists of a cyclotron and associated manufacturing facility for the production of PET radiopharmaceuticals, which must be kept clean, orderly, properly lighted and maintained in optimum operating condition. Employees handle radioactive materials and are exposed to very low amounts of radiation that are deemed safe by current standards. The facility is operated under well-controlled and closely monitored conditions that are regulated by both State and Federal agencies, and that are enforced by the corporate internal quality and regulatory group. Each staff member will receive specific training in keeping radiation exposures within regulatory guidelines and he/she will be routinely monitored for their exposure to radiation. Noise levels are considered low to moderate.
Responsibilities in this role
Successfully complete extensive training, including e-learning assignments and hands on components, to demonstrate and maintain proficiency
Manufactures radioactive isotopes (includes synthesis set up, hot cell manipulations, distribution)
