Also responsible for monitoring quality of reagents and working condition of instruments. Essential Functions: Receives specimens from phlebotomists and couriers. May operate a delivery van to bring the mobile lab to an area of high volume of STAT testing when applicable. Enters patient demographics and test orders into lab information system. Checks the quality control of each test prior to running and reporting patient results. Ensures QC is within appropriate limits and brings problems to a supervisor/manager in real time.
