We are seeking someone who can see beyond the lens and bring back compelling stories. The candidate should have 2 years of ENG experience with a network affiliate news organization. You will cover day to day general, in-depth features and investigative assignments. We are shooting full high definition (HD) on media cards and editing on desktops and laptops. You should have strong editing skills in non-linear edit systems, possess excellent people skills, a strong work ethic, and a great attitude. A passion for story telling is absolutely essential in this position.
Requirements and Qualifications:
At least 2 years of shooting experience and technical knowledge of editing and photo equipment
Team-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlines
Must have valid driver's license, good driving record and be able to operate ENG news vehicles
Ability to edit and shoot general assignment stories, lives shots and natural sound packages
Must be able to lift and carry between 25 and 50 pounds on a regular basis

Production Manager, Remote & Studio

This Production Manager will manage all aspects of planning a full production for LIVE remote events and studio shows. The Production Manager will report to the Production Director, Remotes & Studio and oversee the Production Coordinator. This role is based in our Santa Monica, CA office.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Remote Responsibilities
* Serves as key resource for all production teams in studio and on remote and primary liaison between a wide variety of entities (e.g. Facility Management, Sr Level Production, Production and Technical Crews, Talent, Site Operations, Vendors, Tournament Directors and other TV Network Representatives).
* Supervises and coordinates facilities with host broadcaster, both foreign & domestic to include the following: VandA bookings, office space, credentials and access, power, venue coordination, logistics and shipping.
* Supervises and coordinates staff requirements and needs on remotes both foreign & domestic.
* Hires crews for remote ATP 1000 productions both foreign & domestic.
* Oversees the acquisition and distribution of various production elements, such as event footage, music and music cue sheets, graphic elements, equipment etc.
* Trains new hires on production departmental processes and procedures.
* Plans and coordinate hotel needs both foreign and domestic (along with Prod Coordinator).
* Plans and coordinates rental equipment tracking, logistics, and shipping (both foreign and domestic).
* Develops and ensures quality control of all production books.
* Manages and maintains schedules and production books and call sheets using Xytech a data base software.
* Works closely with the team to create daily crew call times and schedules using Xytech
* Manages and maintains planning documents: schedules, trackers & planning spreadsheets.
* Works closely with the Director of Finance on managing cost, coordination of crew, and show requirements to ensure timely processing of crew timecards and contracts/deal memos.
Studio Responsibilities
* Assists in supervising and maintaining studio coordination, staff and facilities, along with Production Coordinator.
* Primary liaison between wide variety of entities during world feed production.
* Trains new hires on production departmental processes and procedures.
* Works closely with the Manager, Production Accountant on coordination of crew and technical show requirements to ensure timely processing of crew time cards and contracts/deal memos.
* Works with production teams to ensure assigned productions meet network creative and technical objectives.
* Develops and ensures quality control of all production books and daily schedules in Xytech.
Requirements:
* Uphold a professional appearance and demeanor that reflects the role's status as an ambassador and network representative for the Tennis Channel at an international level
* Domestic and International travel. Traveling between the United States and Europe to attend as needed Grand Slams & tournaments; total travel time averages 4 months per year
* Willingness to work 50+ hours/week on a flexible schedule that includes day, night, weekend and holiday shifts (Tennis season is Jan-Nov; heaviest workloads occur in the Summer months May-Sept)
* Ability to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments, filled with unpredictable challenges and interaction with all personality types
* Enthusiasm for managing hands-on projects and the resourcefulness to 'get your hands dirty' and make things happen
* Proven and strong ability to multi-task, adapt to fast-paced environment and manage several productions start-to-finish
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 3 years in Production Management role, or a similar position within the sports or entertainment production industry
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; organized, proactive, and quick-thinking
* Previous experience overseeing all aspects of travel for up to 150 people, including: flights, hotels, car rentals, food, etc.
* Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (i.e. Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint). Experience with Smartsheet
* Knowledge of Xytech, ScheduAll, or ShowManager, a plus

You must have a firm grasp of multi-platform reporting, publishing the story as it is happening and engaging with our viewers. You must have the instinct to jump in on major breaking news to add context to our coverage. Our investigators are our experts on topics that impact our viewers and should be editorial leaders. We work together as a team so you should be good at collaborating with our Leadership Team, Photojournalists, and legal department. We want someone who has strong storytelling skills and knows how to create visualizations to showcase your work.

WSYX/WTTE has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Weekend Morning News Anchor / Reporter. In this role, you will be required to produce daily content on a variety of platforms including the internet and social networks, along with performing other duties as assigned by the news managers. We are looking for someone with a clear understanding of how to dig for a story, research it, write it with an edge, and use strong storytelling and TV production to make it impactful and memorable. It is important to have strong writing skills and to have knowledge of current events. Dynamic live television and storytelling skills are a must.

Weeknight/Weekend News Producer

Sinclair's Writers Hub is seeking an experienced News Producer to cover weeknight and weekend shifts between Tuesday and Saturday. The Weeknight/Weekend News Producer will join a team that produces multiple exports throughout the work week. A typical day involves producing stories about major developments nationwide or internationally. Hub producers strive to provide context and clarity that go beyond surface-level reporting. The News Producer must be prepared to adjust priorities to react to breaking news. This is a full-time, in-person position based in Cockeysville, MD, with occasional holiday shift coverage required.
Position Hours:
Tuesday to Friday: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM
Saturday: 12:00 PM to 8:30 PM
Hours may be adjusted as necessary.
Job Duties:
Pitching stories for distribution across Sinclair's network of television affiliates.
Researching, writing, producing, and publishing TV news exports (VOs and VOSOTs) on deadline.
Cutting down Sinclair-owned packages and web scripts into VOs and VOSOTs for air.
Assisting with script peer reviews as needed.
Non-linear video editing and publishing VOs and VOSOTs to script, including placement of burned courtesies, flashes to avoid jump cuts between multiple speakers, and minor graphics.
Creating Axis graphics that visually support details of written scripts.
Assisting with recording live events coming across our satellite and LiveU feeds through in-house software.
Issuing the Hub coverage note as needed.
Providing occasional shift coverage for holidays or to cover other producers on PTO.
Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Multiple years of professional experience in a TV newsroom/content center.
Experience with iNEWS, ENPS, DALET, or similar systems.
Experience writing scripts in a conversational voice for TV.
Non-linear video editing experience.
Familiarity with AVID and AXIS.
Confidence to manage the weekend shift with limited or no supervision.
A willingness to learn new systems if you don't already possess the required skills.
The ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Bonus: Experience writing for digital platforms and the ability to contribute occasional articles for syndication.

The base salary compensation range for this role is $50,000 to $65,000. Final compensation for this role will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, skills, certifications, and geographic location. Full time positions are eligible for benefits that include participation in a retirement plan, life and disability insurance, health, dental and vision plans, flexible spending accounts, 15 paid vacation days, 2 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, 40 hours of paid sick leave, parental leave, and employee stock purchase plan.
