Kemper's Mission Statement
Kemper is improving the world of insurance by providing affordable and personalized auto, home, life and health solutions for individuals, families and businesses.
Company has ideas that sound good, but doesn't really know how to execute them in the marketplace.
Work environment that breeds average performance -- very little incentive to do anything more than average work at most levels. Most opportunities for advancement are given to external candidates with equivalent qualifications over internal ones. Advancement of internal candidates isn't based on qualifications. No rhyme or reason behind who is provided with rare internal opportunities to step up to the next level. Management is not really interested in new ideas.
If you're a motivated and career-advancement minded individual in the midst of a job hunt, don't bother with this company.

Completing and obtaining company goals are practical. Everything you do is micro-managed. The company's goal is compete with national insurance companies which results in pressure on employees. Also there is no job security.
