Position Summary The Senior Clinical Development Scientist plays a pivotal role in steering the clinical strategy that supports the company's groundbreaking diagnostic products, provides leadership and individual contributions in conceptualization, design and execution of clinical studies to: 1) effectively support development and improvement of new Karius product features and new products; and 2) advance clinical evidence that accelerates adoption and reimbursement for Karius products. This work will be done while maintaining careful alignment and synergy with other Karius functional units (e.g., Medical Affairs, Product, and Commercial) and diverse outside stakeholders including regulatory authorities and key opinion leaders. A successful applicant will rapidly gain an in-depth understanding of Karius technologies and products, and help to shape a portfolio of strategic, cost-effective and aligned clinical studies. These studies will address outpatient and inpatient use of Karius products and may include use of prospective and retrospective designs, observational and interventional methods, and registries and other real world data sources to generate clinical and economic evidence. This evidence needs to tangibly advance product features and product development as well as product adoption through mechanisms including but not limited to key opinion leadership support, guideline inclusion, regulatory approvals, and reimbursement. This role involves a combination of both hands-on, individual contributions to clinical development projects, as well as leadership responsibilities providing clinical and scientific guidance and mentoring team members. Location: Redwood City, CA (Hybrid) or Remotely (US only) Primary Responsibilities • Hands-on leadership and design of clinical trials, including selecting appropriate study designs, endpoints, and patient populations to facilitate adoption, regulatory approval, and/or reimbursement of the Karius Test for infectious disease indications. • Provide medical and/or scientific expertise to the project team during the lifecycle of the study. • Author major written deliverables including, protocols, clinical study reports, regulatory submissions, original articles, abstracts, posters, and presentation materials. • Architect clinical evidence development strategy for Karius Test intended uses with executive team and aligned with company product strategy. • Collaborate with the Clinical Operations team on execution and delivery of multiple concurrent clinical studies. • Collaborate with Biostatistics to develop and execute study statistical analysis plans. Provide clinical guidance into future product development and enhancements. • Provide clinical leadership on grant requests for support of investigator-initiated Initiated Studies. • Guide and mentor junior team members and foster their professional growth. This involves knowledge of trial methodologies to support clinical validity and utility evidence generation for Laboratory Developed Tests and In Vitro Diagnostics. GENERAL DUTIES The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse working in conjunction with the Trauma Program Manager and Trauma Medical Director assists the trauma program in monitoring all aspects of care. This position will assure in conjunction with Trauma Administrative Team that all guidelines and protocols are consistent with the care being provided. The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse, in conjunction with the Trauma Administrative Team, identifies opportunities for improvement and manages the performance improvement program. The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse, in conjunction with the Trauma Administrative Team, identifies opportunities for improvement and manages the performance improvement program. The Trauma Process Improvement Nurse is responsible for: Meeting Riverside County Trauma Center Standards as well as JC and American College of Surgeons standards, complying with all state and federal regulations, complying with corporate and hospital policy and procedures, managing patient information, promoting teamwork and positive customer service. Is actively involved, cross trained and able to perform back up in the following duties: Attends hospital, Tenet, Medical Staff, Department meetings as assigned. We're looking for someone to join our team as an Imaging Technical Assistant who: Safely transports patients to and from the diagnostic imaging department, ensuring patient support systems are always in place. Reports any changes in patient condition during the process to nurses and/or technologists. Summary of Essential Duties: Safely transports patients (with and without oxygen, as appropriate) within the diagnostic imaging department. Provides direct patient care as directed by technologists or radiologists, in conjunction with all imaging procedures. Serves as liaison between technologists and nursing staffs. Performs all duties related to the hand off of care within the imaging department and hospital unit if needed, including recognizing and reporting abnormal, emergent or unusual signs and symptoms based on patient population and common diagnoses (change in vital signs, intake, output, patient complaints, etc.). Checks all documentation prior to patient transfer. Supplies rooms with linen, supplies, keep room clean and safe. Principal Investigator, Dr. Mustafa Khokha, MD, is looking for a Research Associate III to join the team! The Khokha Lab uses Xenopus, a frog model, to understand the molecular mechanisms that drive birth defects. The Research Associate will be responsible for managing the aquatics that house a colony of frogs which includes caring for adult frogs as well as rearing tadpoles to adulthood. Under general guidance, the Administrative Research Associate III works closely with PI, providing technical and/or administrative support in large or multi-project oriented labs. May be requested by PI to take on specific supervisory activities, and provide administrative leadership, and/or technical expertise. May develop hypothesis and assist in planning steps for the investigative process. Will review and remain current on literature as it relates to clinical/research study. Coordinates all lab and/or clinical activities, including but not limited to, budgetary/financial compliance, preparation of grant proposals, and creating independent presentations. Not responsible for generating grant funds. What are the Primary Duties & Responsibilities? Provides miscellaneous clinical/research support (ad hoc data analysis, hypothesis development, programming, troubleshooting, etc.). Organizes clinical/research trials in conjunction with the Principal Investigator and sponsor and/or funding source. Monitors and ensures compliance with safety standards and procedures. Analyzes data and prepares scientific findings for publication as author or co-author. May make independent presentations.
