We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor to join the Kaiser Aluminum team at our Newark, Ohio Plant!
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for managing a 12-hour (7PM to 7AM) shift of union Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance employees on the safe execution of planned and unplanned equipment repair work activities to ensure equipment reliability and metal flow throughout the plant.
What you will work on:
Supervises all Maintenance Craft Workers; schedules/administers time & attendance, corrective actions, training initiatives, and employee coaching/development.
Directs safety meetings and dialogs, performs Job Hazard Analysis, and performs
Incident Investigations as needed to maintain the safest work environment possible.
Takes ownership of safety processes; performs maintenance safety program audits
(Lockout/Tagout, Confined Space, Fall Protection, PPE, mobile equipment, etc.).
Elevates maintenance housekeeping standards and drives 5S performance.
Maintains strong grasp of contract, agreements, and labor relations practices.
Identifies, assists, and resolves equipment issues through shop floor problem
solving, collaboration with engineering, and ongoing employee training and
development.
Coordinates & communicates resource sharing between plant maintenance areas.
Reviews and documents maintenance work activities through turnover reports from
previous and oncoming shifts.
Use of our CMMS System (Maximo) to enter Service Requests, manage Work
Orders, and to identify spare parts in our inventory system.
Schedules, monitors, and manages (through Maximo) all maintenance and repair work, driving continuous improvement of maintenance practices and work habits.
Enters Service Requests, writes follow-up work orders from inspections and PMs. Monitors and improves PM effectiveness.
What you will bring to the role:
Undergraduate technical degree (BSME preferred) or; Two (2) year associates degree in a maintenance discipline with five (5) years of experience in maintenance of which two (2) years was as a supervisor or a minimum of five (5) years maintenance supervisory experience
Strong Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting experience.
Heavy to Light Manufacturing Maintenance Experience
Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
Proven ability to work in teams.
Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Role Overview:
We're looking for a candidate with electrical/mechanical aptitude to help us sustain a robust preventive maintenance program. This position is responsible for repairing and installing production/manufacturing equipment.
Inspects equipment for proper functioning and performs preventative maintenance duties per manufacturer's specifications.
Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and makes repairs or adjustments as needed.
Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment using Maximo software
Repair all production equipment as needed
Perform breakdown analysis

**Role Overview:**
+ Build, install, move, rearrange, and perform major/minor maintenance repair on all types of machine tool equipment and facilities.

As an Operations Technician, you'll perform a variety of tasks, including reading and interpreting drawings, supporting pipeline operations, safely maintaining facility equipment and analyzing data to resolve technical and operational problems. Knowledge of permits and compliance, accurate record-keeping and a focus on safety will bring success in this role!

Day in the Life
In this role, you will operate and maintain one of Williams' largest installations of horsepower and power distribution equipment. Operators at New Albany will gain valuable skills in the operation and maintenance of gas turbines, high-speed reciprocating engines, medium voltage generators, power distribution systems, environmental controls, and station distributed control systems.
For an Operations Technician III
Responsibilities/Expectations:
+ Performs a variety of tasks to safely maintain equipment and support operations; tests, calibrates and validates process safety devices and equipment
+ Responsible for data analysis and collaboration with others to find solutions to technical or operational problems
+ Follows all company policies and applies appropriate operating and maintenance procedures
+ Acquires knowledge of and adheres to requirements for safe and efficient operation of facilities, execution of tasks, protection of community, personnel, environment, and assets
+ Maintains general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
+ Troubleshoots, operates, repairs and maintains mechanical and electrical systems including both low and high voltage equipment and uninterruptible power supply systems; removes, repairs and reinstalls sensing elements for flow, temperature, pressure and level measurement
+ Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
+ Required: High School Diploma/GED and minimum three (3) years of demonstrated ability as an operations technician or similar role
+ Preferred: Associates or 2-year technical degree and minimum two (2) years experience with Distributive Control Systems and Allen Bradley PLCs; possess a journeyman or electrical license
Physical and Environment Work Requirements:
Must be willing to:
+ Work in extreme temperatures, with loud noises and in enclosed spaces
+ Carry or lift items up to 50 lbs and team lift loads of more than 50 lbs as needed
+ Stand, walk, climb, bend, stoop, and squat, often for long periods of time
+ Work at elevated levels, potentially from man lifts, ladders, scaffolding, and/or small towers, with appropriate PPE (Personal Protection Equipment)
+ Use hand tools
Shift/Work Hours/Travel Requirements:
+ Available to work after hours, on-call rotations, nights, weekend shifts and holidays as the need arises
+ May be required to work overtime, 10-12 hour shifts and travel between Williams locations with occasional overnight stays
Other Requirements:
+ Must possess valid State Driver's License and clean driving record
+ Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as the utmost priority
+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills and proficient/advanced knowledge of Process Control Systems and Programmable Logic Controllers

+ Oversees general knowledge of site/location/equipment/specific permits and compliance
+ Completes assigned reports, logs and maintains accurate records of process operations and performance of preventative maintenance on equipment
+ Other duties as assigned
Education/Years of Experience:
+ Required: High School Diploma/GED
+ Preferred: Associates or two-year technical degree; minimum six (6) months mechanical, technical, or controls systems experience in the oil and gas industry or operations technician summer internship with Associates Degree
