MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location High School diploma or equivalency. Valid state driver's license, acceptable driving record, and proof of valid insurance. Valid Plumbers Journeyman's license. Must be able to obtain backflow tester's certification. Minimum two (2) years' plumbing experience at the journeyman level. Must obtain and maintain all necessary licenses/IDs/certifications. Ability to solve problems and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to adapt to changes In technology and applicable facility/infrastructure codes and standards. Familiarity with facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable. Ability to deal with a variety of people In a professional & courteous manner in diverse situations. Proficiency and knowledge of a variety of hand and power tools. Demonstrated working ability read, write1 speak and understand English. PREFERRED REQUIRMENTS: Five (5) years' plumbing experience at the journeyman level. Military experience. Previous experience working on a military Installation. Experience working on Tinker Facilities. Familiarity with military-specific facility/infrastructure codes and standards, as applicable. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: While performing duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time, sit, use hands and fingers, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must be able to hear and speak. The employee must occasionally lift up to 50 pounds. Lifts exceeding 50 pounds will be accomplished with two-man teams and using appropriate safety equipment to efficiently accomplish the task. The employee must be able to work in confined spaces or at heights of 120 feet (such as in a manlift/boom lift). The employee is occasionally required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings weekends and/or holidays.
