Shift: 6:00PM - 6:00AM (2 on - 2 off - 3 on)
Job Summary:
The maintenance electrician will perform tasks including but not limited to one or more of the following tasks: maintain all primary and secondary/electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts. Troubleshoot and maintain control circuitry, variable frequency drives and all other special electrical systems. Wire outlets, relocate fixtures, troubleshoot lighting and power panels, install such outlets in existing and underground raceways when applicable and required. Perform as a Multi-Craft Technician other duties onsite, such as plumbing, HVAC, and general building maintenance as assigned.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain all primary and secondary/electrical distribution systems up to 600 volts. Troubleshoot and maintain control circuitry, variable frequency drives and all other special electrical systems. Wire outlets, relocate fixtures, lighting and power panels, install such outlets in existing and underground raceways when applicable and required.
Service batteries and transformers
Demonstrate the ability to read and follow blueprints
Demonstrate understanding of AC motor controls and how to maintain, test, and repair
Demonstrate understanding of VFD's and how to install, maintain, and troubleshoot.
Responsible for the completion of all PM and record keeping assigned to his/her areas of responsibility.
Submit as required electrician's reports for all work done.
Make recommendations to his/her supervisor as necessary on the performance of all equipment.
Respond to emergencies at any time.
Maintain a safe and clean work area. Demonstrate basic safe work practices based on company and customer policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
HS diploma or Degree/Certification, or equivalent professional experience in Trades (Electrical).
Must have a Journeyman's license or have successfully completed a four-year apprenticeship program
Five or more years' experience working in Commercial, Industrial, and Manufacturing environment.
Proven in-depth knowledge of related building codes, regulations and ordinances.
Proven ability to effectively read, interpret and work from plans, schematics and drawings.
Prior experience in project estimation of electrical labor, materials and equipment.
Strong interpersonal skills and good customer service skills.

The ideal candidate must hold a valid E-2 License and demonstrate a commitment to safety, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction. Additionally, the electrician will provide training and mentorship to team members and apprentices as needed. Job Functions: Electrical Work • Mount and secure electrical components, including junction boxes, conduits, panels, fixtures, sensors, and other field control devices. • Terminate wiring with precision and accuracy, ensuring compliance with local and national codes. Field Operations • Perform on-site troubleshooting and diagnosis of electrical issues, providing effective solutions. • Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams to execute tasks correctly. • Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols and best practices. Training and Mentorship • Train and guide apprentices and team members in proper electrical techniques and safety protocols. • Provide hands-on instruction to develop skills in wiring, mounting, and termination. • Offer constructive feedback to help team members grow in their roles and improve their performance. Project Execution • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and other trades to complete projects on time. • Provide regular updates on job progress, challenges, and completion timelines. • Conduct thorough testing and inspections of electrical systems to ensure functionality and safety. Compliance and Licensing • Ensure all work complies with NEC (National Electrical Code) standards and local regulations. • Maintain a valid E-2 License, staying updated with any industry or regulatory changes. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: • Valid E-2 Electrician License with proven field experience. • 3-5 years of experience as a licensed technician. • Proficiency in working with both line voltage and low voltage electrical systems. • Expertise in mounting, wiring, and terminating electrical components. • Strong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and safety protocols. • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision. • Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and clients. • Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to train and guide others. • Physical stamina and dexterity to handle tools, equipment, and various job site conditions.
