They negotiate competitive pricing and work within budgets to secure cost savings or sales revenue. They also develop accurate ways to monitor agreements and sales to secure future savings or profits. Duties/Responsibilities: * Inputs transactions and administers a purchasing and contracts system or database. * Initiates, prepares, processes, and verifies purchase orders following established guidelines to purchase materials and goods by required delivery dates. * Expedites delayed orders and resolves issues with changes, returns, replacements, and credit arrangements. * Interacts with suppliers to obtain favorable pricing terms, product specifications, monitor availability, and optimize savings. * Coordinates with internal teams to ensure that purchasing needs are met promptly and efficiently. * Accountable for inventory management throughout the purchasing process. Including optimizing purchasing strategy to protect cash flow. Qualifications/Experience: * Valid driver's license in the state of work. * Highschool diploma or GED. * 2-5 years of related experience. * Ability to work under moderate supervision. * Experience in Fire Sprinkler, Electrical, HVAC or Plumbing Purchasing preferred. * Proficient in Microsoft 365 (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint/OneDrive, etc.). Types of design can include power, lighting, distribution systems, heat trace, and general equipment installation designs. Short circuit analysis, arc flash analysis, overcurrent protective device coordination, and review of power quality and reliability. Low voltage system designs, including instrumentation and controls, telecommunications, life safety, and security systems.
