Responsibilities as a Domestic Helper General Cleaning: Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors. Dusting furniture, shelves, and other surfaces. Cleaning windows and glass surfaces. Cleaning bathrooms, including toilets, showers, and sinks. Cleaning kitchens, including countertops, appliances, and floors. Sanitizing surfaces. Dishes, Laundry and Ironing: Washing dishes (by hand and with an automatic dishwasher), drying, and putting away dishes, glasses and kitchen utensils. Washing, drying, folding & storing laundry. Ironing clothes and linens. Bed Making and Linen Management: Making beds and changing linens. Distributing clean towels and toiletries throughout the house. Organization and Tidying: Tidying up rooms and organizing belongings. Emptying trash and recycling bins. Maintaining a clutter-free environment. Meal Prep: Working with the homeowner to plan 1 to 3 meals a day, then cooking 1 or more of those meals & prepare the remainder for the homeowner to complete. Acquiring food/ingredients needed for the meal plan, assuring the kitchen & pantry are stocked according to discussed plans & preferences. Maintaining a clutter-free environment.
