Responsibilities:
The Housekeeper is responsible for the major floor cleaning and refinishing functions. This position will use cleaning devices including commercial vacuum cleaners, twenty-four (24) ounce mop and wringers, and other necessary equipment, tools, products and supplies in accordance with the facilities' objectives. Maintains and distributes linen inventory and oversees set-up for special functions. Works effectively with the facility leadership team to ensure the success of the facility by completing the following core job duties and other required tasks:
Perform cleaning functions in assigned areas following established schedules and using prescribed methods.
Scrub to remove all soil and all or partial finish from hard surface flooring and refinish to glossy appearance.
Shampoo carpets and remove spots from carpets.
Report, as observed, need for repair to equipment, furniture, building, and fixtures.
Move and arrange furniture.
Maintain assigned work area and equipment for cleanliness.
Assist in cleaning emergency spills.
Show ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner.

Job Description
We are hiring a full-time janitor for day and evening shifts in Salem, OR and the surrounding area. Tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, cleaning restrooms, mopping, sweeping, dusting, vacuuming, removing trash and/or recycling, restocking paper supplies and liners, etc.. Starting pay is very competitive and no previous experience is required. We provide you with all the training needed to perform your job and all the necessary supplies and equipment. This is an ongoing position with a lot of opportunity for additional hours and compensation increases. We are looking to add a new member to our team who is interested in long term and stable employment!
Qualifications
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to pass a background check
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
- Reliable transportation and/or a Driver's License is a plus and opens the door for more opportunity
- Ability to perform duties correctly and efficiently, meet and exceed customer expectations
