I: Job Summary
The Custodian and Grounds Technician is responsible for maintaining all non-GMP areas of the interior/exterior facility in a clean, healthy, audit ready state.
II: Responsibilities
Clean all administrative and common areas: empty garbage, clean floors, dust, clean windows, etc. as required.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance tasks in SAP related to cleaning.
Maintain detailed cleaning logs for all areas of responsibility.
Perform snow removal and landscaping assignments, as required.
May oversee contractors employed to perform the general maintenance and repairs to the facility and grounds.
Maintain all material, supplies and equipment used to maintain the facility.
Participate in and maintain all required job specific and safety training.
Maintain a current and detailed knowledge of cGMP.
Seek ways to increase operational efficiency.
Participate in special projects as required.
Other duties as assigned by the custodial supervisor.

III: Education, Experience & Skills
Completion of Grade 12 from an accredited educational institution preferred combined with minimum 1 year of related experience.
Experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment is an asset.
Good working knowledge of janitorial functions and the ability to operate powered cleaning equipment.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Cooperative approach to teamwork with emphasis on successfully completing site goals and providing strong customer service to internal stakeholders.
Strong organizational and planning skills with a great attention to detail.
