Qualifications

The Role

Job Overview:
Lord Abbett is currently seeking an Investment Risk Associate to join its Investment Risk Management team. In this role, the associate will monitor and report on capital markets and Lord Abbett strategies, analyze portfolio trading and holdings data, produce and enhance reports, assist other team members with investment risk analysis and research projects, and help maintain the team's documentation and knowledge base. This role offers the associate the opportunity to analyze investments across all asset classes Lord Abbett invests in, to collaborate with various functions across the firm, and to leverage their technical and quantitative skills to add value.
We'll trust you to:
Produce and deliver various daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports on capital markets, Lord Abbett investment strategies, liquidity, derivative exposures, etc.
Implement enhancements to existing reports and templates to improve data visualizations or update calculation methodologies.
Organize and analyze large sets of portfolio and risk data from various systems.
Support other team members with projects and investor engagements.
Develop and maintain process documentation.
Grow your knowledge set of Lord Abbett products and investment capabilities.
You'll need to have:
Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline; an advanced degree is a plus
0-5 years' experience in an investment-related field
Expertise in programming languages such as Python (preferred), C++ and/or Java
Strong intellectual curiosity and be self-driven
Strong attention to detail
Knowledge of statistical analysis techniques and comfort with analyzing large data sets
High proficiency in Excel
Experience with market data and analytics providers such as Bloomberg or FactSet is preferred
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work within a fast-paced team environment
Collaborative, team-first attitude; growth mindset
Ability to prioritize and progress multiple projects simultaneously

Compensation Information: Annual base salary for this role is $100,000-$125,000. Salary is estimated for this role. Actual pay may be different.
