Overview
This position is primarily responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing, and repairing heavy-duty trucks. Conduct thorough inspections and diagnostic tests to troubleshoot issues and repair vehicle to proper operating condition
Perform advanced repairs and replace major components such as radiators, valve adjustments, and turbos

Perform entire engine overhauls including replacing heads, rods and main bearings
Troubleshoot and perform complex wiring repairs and diagnose and repair any electronic issues

Overview
Our Parts Department has an opportunity for a Counter Sales Associate to join our team. In this position, you will sell parts to all available customers, find new opportunities for sales by seeking to understand each customer's challenges and needs, and create valued customer relationships. Sales are completed over the counter, through the shop (Service Department), or on the phone. Creating valued customer relationships is dependent on embodying TEC Equipment's value proposition throughout all customer interactions. Your top priority will be to create a seamless experience for our customers between the Warehouse, Parts Department, and Service Department.
Responsibilities
Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process and ensure that Technicians submit a Parts Requisition before charging out the parts; file requisition copy with repair order.
Maintain a constant flow of parts to the service department in order to keep Technicians on the floor working.
Occasionally assist walk-in customers in selecting required parts & suggesting companion parts/add-ons and offer specials to ensure customer is exposed to the full product line.
Safely pull purchased parts from stock in a timely and accurate manner.
Determine availability of parts that are not in stock, submit an emergency order if needed by customer.
Answer phone calls before three rings & provide price quotes and other requested or applicable information as well as looking for opportunities to learn more about the customer.
Notify Shop Foreman and customer immediately when ordered parts arrive; keep supervisor updated on any delays so customer is aware of the estimated arrival time
Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, and/or pick-up.
Assist Service Technicians in selecting parts needed for repairs in process and ensure that Technicians submit a Parts Requisition before charging out the parts; file requisition copy with repair order.
Maintain a constant flow of parts to the service department in order to keep Technicians on the floor working.
Verify “will call” and “back order” files weekly and return to vendors or restock items as directed.
Qualifications
Prior customer service experience.
At least 3 years of experience in truck/automotive parts counter sales.
Valid driver's license and able to meet insurance requirements
Forklift experience and ability to become forklift certified by TEC Equipment is preferred.
Ability to maintain predictable and reliable attendance and work in a safe and alert manner.
Ability to prioritize and complete multiple requests and responsibilities effectively and timely.

Overview
As a delivery driver, your goal is to get the right parts to the right customers, on time. This is a physical job and you will be responsible for loading and unloading parts from the vehicle. You are a key link to our customer and your interaction and service are critical to our success. We seek candidates who have the drive to grow and develop into other positions within the company. This position does not require a CDL license. Occasional overtime as business needs is expected.
Responsibilities
Pick up and deliver parts to customers; accurately handle transactions and parts returns.
Maintain distribution log/tracking system to record all deliveries/pickups made.
Pick and pull parts from warehouse to fill orders.
Drive and keep company vehicle clean and presentable.
Assist with warehouse duties as needed (e.g., put away stock, clean, etc.)
Qualifications
Previous warehouse delivery experience

Service Shop Foreman - Second Shift
* Shift Monday-Friday 1:00pm-10:00pm
Diesel Shop Foreman Duties:
* Perform test drives to verify customer concerns are resolved.
* Perform Quality Inspections on completed truck/equipment.
* Opening & closing repair orders
* Perform minor repairs and DOT inspections as needed.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Diesel Truck Shop Foreman to lead our Second Shift service team. The Diesel Truck Shop Foreman will oversee all aspects of diesel truck repair and maintenance operations, ensuring efficient workflow, high-quality workmanship, and adherence to safety protocols. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in diesel truck repair, strong leadership skills, and a commitment to excellence.

Service Shop Foreman - Second Shift
Shift Monday-Friday 1:00pm-10:00pm
Diesel Shop Foreman Duties:
Perform test drives to verify customer concerns are resolved.
Perform Quality Inspections on completed truck/equipment.
Opening & closing repair orders
Perform minor repairs and DOT inspections as needed.
Assist technician/mechanic(s) as needed with repairs, lending a hand or guidance as needed.
Positively teach, train and mentor technician/mechanic(s)
Assist Service office in making sure everyone is on a job and next assignment is ready.
Updating customers and seeking approvals as needed
Updating software programs such as Uptime Pro with updated information
General Shop Duties, ordering and putting shop supplies away as needed.
Delegating duties to technician/mechanic(s) when we have no customer repairs to complete.
Learning Service Advisor role, for Saturday rotation and if we are shorthanded in office.
Diesel Shop Foreman Requirements:
High School Diploma or G.E.D.
Experience working with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks.
Must have your own set of general tools.
Strong knowledge of computers for diagnosis and repair order systems
Technical degree or certification a plus
Must be physically able to lift and work with no restrictions.
Diesel engine certification-engine overhaul and diagnostics a must
CDL preferred but not required.
