We are currently seeking a NP&T Program purchasing Specialist within our team who will be responsible for the following:
Ensure purchasing capability creation by managing and executing related activities with the PuCC team.
Maintain risk management plan and manage risks for critical suppliers and materials e.g. single/sole sources.
Accountable for Product Cost - ASPC.
Drive program material design review practice.
Drive Supplier selection, negotiations, and contracting for the agreed category areas, in agreement with and support of Category Manager.
Maintain up-to-date lists of new technologies, key suppliers, and key materials.
Ensure that backup plans are created for single and sole source cases.
Implement inbound logistics modes and PuCC handover from the program to the maintenance phase.
Ensure materials for prototypes, ramp up and start of volume deliveries.
Ensure that materials are transferred to volume production or no need for materials /assemblies to be sold/scrapped.
If decided may have Product Owner (PO) responsibilities for the PuCC team.
Manage PuCC team backlog.
Mediation and dispute handling between project, suppliers, and stakeholders.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
At least 5 years' experience in an Operating Procurement function.
Purchasing and directly related experience in complex Electronics/Telecom/Automotive/Aerospace manufacturing is required.
Knowledge of product life cycles, critical milestones in product development, and following the established process required.
Knowledge of NPI manufacturing processes; Purchasing experience across electronics and mechanics commodities.
Good business understanding; Good in communications and negotiations with interpersonal skills.

What you'll be doing…
You'll work side-by-side with our dealers and third-party retail partners to grow our prepaid wireless product and service sales through their national outlets. Serve as the key technical architect on Defense and Public Safety application for User Devices, secure communication capabilities, Device peripherals supporting tactical deployable 4G/5G, Bluetooth, WIFI, GPS restricted design applications, Security, Sensors, V2X, Sidelink, Low Size-Weight-Power Platforms, Multi-Hop Relay Networks, Drone communication links and autonomous uncrewed capabilities
Provide subject matter expertise (SME) to research and evaluation on technical approaches for implementing new device features in support of RAN Network capabilities required to operate within customer-defined Defense and Public Safety use cases.
Provide direction and set expectations for the design and development of prototype systems E2E (Device to RAN) geared toward non-traditional 5G/NextG Space and Defense system use cases.
Work with other Radio Network SMEs with Nokia MN Ecosystem Team to evaluate and propose implementation approaches for device defense and public safety features.
Evaluate and author responses to sections of RFI/RFP offerings and Statement of Work descriptions for project partners and 3rd party vendors.
Determine system requirements, architecture, and design for project deliverables for both Nokia Internal Development Units and Technical liaison for 3
rd
party partners.
Lead Space and Defense User Device Technology Roadmap development and alignment with product roadmaps.
Establish and manage technical partner relationships with third parties required to fulfill project obligations.
Contribute to the creation of project work breakdown structure, schedule, and effort estimation.
