Opportunities: Perform/observe engineering field tests and complete engineering related fieldwork services, including but not limited to percolation testing, PDA testing/load testing, staking/reconning for subsurface exploration locations, pre/post-condition construction surveys and field electrical resistivity testing. Observe construction of various components including rammed aggregate piers, driven pile observations, helical anchor, sheet piles, etc for conformance with project documents Performs visual and manual classification of soil samples to aid in preparation of soil boring logs in office and on-site field logging with our drill rigs during our subsurface explorations Performs geotechnical analysis and calculations as requested under the guidance of a professional engineer Assist in developing geotechnical scopes of work and proposal preparation Assist with the preparation of geotechnical engineering reports Mentoring from a licensed engineer and practical engineering experience to develop your professional skills Performs construction materials testing as requested by the engineering department to support field service operations or engineering evaluations. The Summer Library Intern assists patrons on the Little Red Reading Bus and supports staff with events for youth and families.
