Job Responsibilities:
The selected intern candidate will contribute to the discovery of drugs for treating neuroinflammatory and autoimmune diseases. The candidate will work collaboratively with a team of scientists to develop and conduct in vitro cell-based assays to further our understanding of human disease and evaluate the mechanism of action of potential drug candidates.
Responsibilities includes:
Develop or conduct cell-based assays using human primary immune cells, neurons, or cell lines to support target validation, mechanism of action studies and drug discovery efforts
Operate state of the art laboratory equipment such as Flow Cytometer, Luminex, MSD/ EnVision plate reader and QPCR-based expression platforms, as needed
Conduct gene expression or protein analysis
Analyze and interpret data and trouble-shoot experiments
Record data accurately in Electronic Laboratory Notebook and maintain records per company policy and legal requirements. Prepare study protocols and reports per request
Present findings in small team meetings and final PowerPoint presentation to the department
Closely work with members in the RU N&I group to support departmental goals
Qualifications:
Current college/university student pursuing a degree or graduate with a degree in Biology, preferably in Immunology, Neuroscience or Cell biology
Practical laboratory experience in Immunology, Neuroscience or a related field, pharmaceutical industry experience a plus
Required hands-on experience: Tissue culture/aseptic technique, ELISA, and assay setup including reagent calculations.
Specific knowledge and hands-on experience in the following areas are highly desirable but if not, training will be provided:
-Human primary cell culture, immune cell isolation from human whole blood/PBMC
-Cell-based assays: proliferation, cytokine assessment
-Flow cytometry: multicolor intracellular and surface staining
-Molecular Biology: DNA/RNA isolation, QPCR, Western blotting
-Bioanalytical assays: ELISA, Luminex, or MSD
Laboratory equipment: flow cytometer, auto MACS, EnVision
Good understanding of basic Immunology principles would be an advantage
Highly proficient with computer software: Microsoft Office; GraphPad Prism, BD FACS Diva, Flow Jo experience a plus

I. Major Responsibilities:
1. Provides direct clinical treatment to adults, children and adolescents as represented in the caseload through diagnostic evaluations and screenings; crisis/emergency assessment and intervention; treatment planning and assessment; individual, group, couple and family therapy.
2. Participates in interdisciplinary and integrated diagnostic treatment and planning conferences.
3. Consults with area schools, doctors/primary care, individuals, and other social service agencies, insurance providers and hospital networks regarding clients, client services and case management as applicable.
4. Maintains client records and administrative records consistent with policy.
5. Attends administrative staff meetings as .
6. Attends seminars, in-service education, clinical supervision, and professional meetings as .

Required:
1. In a Masters or Doctoral level program in Mental Health Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology, or related program.
2. Satisfactory CORI background check.

1. Ability to perform diagnostic and risk assessments using current accepted tools and best practices to determine appropriate level of care.
2. Can develop and implement treatment plans which are behaviorally oriented, measurable, and appropriate for the identified level of care.

Key Aspects of the Role:
Drive engagement in Veracode's community with conversation starters and assist customers with finding answers to their questions
Track and report community engagement metrics (e.g., Google Analytics, popular discussions or topics, etc)
Monitor cybersecurity/DevSecOps trends online (ex: r/Cybersecurity on Reddit, YouTube, BlueSky) and suggest topics for community discussions
Conduct surveys or analyze feedback to improve the community experience
Write outlines and/or copy for social media content, including short-form videos and content for YouTube
Consolidate competitive research and distill for actionable results
Presentation of completed projects to the team
Requirements:
Preferred Majors: Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Digital Media
Knowledge of social media platforms and trends ex: Reddit, YouTube, Instagram Reels
Experience as a passionate member of an online community
Actively enrolled in an accredited college/university with an anticipated graduation date between December 2025-May 2027.
Must be able to work a 40-hour work week (Monday-Friday) between June 3rd- August 22nd
