This is a 12-month clinical program designed to provide advanced clinical training in ophthalmology and prepare the individual to be highly qualified and competitive for advancement into an ophthalmology residency. The ophthalmology service is a busy service that provides training in comparative ophthalmology. The ophthalmology service has an active small and large animal caseload; therefore, a strong interest in equine ophthalmology is expected by all applicants. The candidate will work under the supervision of two board-certified veterinary ophthalmologists, Drs. Emily McCool, and Katelyn Fentiman. The ophthalmology service is also supported by two full-time ophthalmology technicians. Program Expectations RESPONSIBILITIES: - Participate in clinical and laboratory instruction of veterinary students. - Participate in clinical service to aid patients, clients, and referring veterinarians, including back-up for the small animal and large animal emergency services at the Boren Veterinary Medical Hospital. Our internship is designed for candidates who are sales oriented and interested in sales or management. Our highly structured 10-12 week introductory course is paid and will provide candidates a working knowledge of the industry by exposing them to all aspects of the electrical distribution field through a combination of mentoring and on-the-job training.
