    Preconstruction Intern The Preconstruction Intern is responsible for assisting a project through the Preconstruction Phase while coordinating with our in-house Development, Design, and Construction Departments to ensure a successful project is handed over to the Construction Team. Common daily tasks include assisting the Civil or Preconstruction Manager in Due Diligence, Project Directories, Consultant Management, Budget Management, Plan Reviews, and the Buy-Out Process. Looking for applicants that are self-motivators with strong management and problem-solving skills. This internship will run from June 9, 2025, through August 8, 2025. Reports to: Director of Preconstruction Duties and Responsibilities: The following duties and responsibility are an outline and should not be considered an all-inclusive list. As the needs of the department change, your duties may be modified as needed. Assist Civil or Preconstruction Manager with two (2) to four (4) Urban and/or Cottage projects at any given time. Assist with soliciting proposals from potential Consulting Engineers. Research zoning codes, mapping, etc. to understand project constraints and requirements. Maintain preliminary Pre-Development and Preliminary Construction schedules. Update Project Dashboards. Maintain project folders and ensure information is properly filed and distributed to Landmark teams. Participate in weekly coordination calls by setting up agendas, taking minutes, and distributing to team after call. Assist in uploading project plans to the appropriate software platform. Assist in Subcontractor Prequalification's. Perform project specific take-offs. Assist in the early Bid Solicitation process. Assist in subcontract assembly and execution. Assist in identifying early-work items such as: abatement, demo, shoring, deep foundations. locations, as well as Storage and Laydown Facilities. Assist in creating and managing the GMP Closing Exhibits. Take and organize Meeting Minutes and distribute to team. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Building Science, or Business. Entry Level Position; no construction experience required, but 1-2 years preferred. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced setting. Superior communication skills. Job Summary Under general supervision the Wellness and Recreation Intern will prepare marketing materials, assist with event preparation, management, and event shut down. The Intern will be the primary contact for wellness and recreational programming outside of normal daily operations. Responsibilities * Work with the Wellness and Recreation Team to market and generate campus buzz for programs * Perform duties associated with the planning, set-up, management, and closing of events sponsored by the area * Performs other related duties as assigned. Required Qualifications * Must be enrolled in the internship course at GGC. * Must be enrolled a minimum of 6 credits at Georgia Gwinnett College. * Must be in good academic standing and maintain good academic standing for the duration of employment. * Must be in good standing with the Office of Student Integrity and maintain good standing for the duration of employment. * Must be a junior or senior.
