This position has the primary responsibility of providing the full breadth of Child and Youth Behavioral (CYB) counseling services to children of all ages of military service members and their families at military installations and off military installations. CYB School counselors will be assigned to Department of Defense (DoDEA) schools and community schools and will need to have experience working in a school setting to qualify for a school position. For those that meet the basic qualifications of a Tier I provider as described in SECNAVINST 1754.8, they may provide SAIL case management tasks and have the following criteria: Minimum educational qualifications include a master's degree in counseling accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs; a master's degree in social work accredited by the Council on Social Work Education, a master's degree in marriage and family therapy accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Marriage and Family Therapy Education, or a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology and a one-year clinical internship accredited by the American Psychological Association. Participate in virtual, program-specific, quarterly quality assurance procedures to ensure that all SAIL services provided are safe and of good quality. Document and maintain current records in the FFSMIS SAIL Record System for all SAIL contacts, assessments, and case management services provided IAW Navy requirements. Ensure Command referral information for Sailors who decline or who cannot be contacted is documented in the FFSMIS SAIL Record System. At the conclusion of SAIL services, alert command that SAIL services are ending and advise on procedures if the Sailor's risk of suicide related behavior returns. Report suspected child abuse and domestic abuse/violence to the local civilian authorities and the Family Advocacy Representative IAW Navy and state requirements. For clients wanting to make a restricted domestic abuse report, provide a warm handoff to the installation Family Advocacy Representative or FAP Victim Advocate. Responsible for monitoring children, parents and caregivers who are involved with the dependency system, including scheduled visits with all parties, written documentation of all contacts, court work and coordination of services from other agencies. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in human services or a related field. Experience: 6 months experience in counseling/case management preferred Licensure, Certification, and/or Registration: Meet training requirements stipulated by the Florida Certification Board (FCB) for a Child Welfare Case Manager. Essential Job Functions: Manage case load of 17 - 19 children. Subject to change based on the distribution of cases to Service Centers. Assist Supervisor in the supervising of case workers, when the supervisor is on leave. Attend ESI and Permanency Staffings in the place of the unit supervisor as needed. Assist supervisor in completing monthly file reviews. Review court documents to ensure quality- assist in getting a supervisor signature- if the unit supervisor is unavailable. Senior Counselors will be the first ones over capped with cases, if it becomes necessary. Our goal is to remain at a 18 /1 ratio. Act as a mentor/ advisor to family service counselors. Assist in the completion of reports, as needed by the supervisor. Agree to be assigned to the cases that present a higher risk to the children, or that have media involvement. Conduct face-to-face contact with children, parents, and caregivers in home or school environment. Complete Family Team Conferences with the family. Observe and document home conditions and child's behavior/feelings about the living situation. Interact with family members. Conduct family functioning assessments and safety plans regarding child's placement. Provide conflict resolution and crisis intervention services to families. Coordinate available community services, to include making referrals. Provide education for family members about available services, parenting practices and the dependency system. Complete documentation of all case activities in case file and FSFN. Assist parents with Case Plan tasks (includes setting up appointments, providing transportation, etc.) Staff cases with Supervisor. Provide written court reports (quarterly). Staff cases for Permanency. Detain children when living conditions are deemed unsafe. Attend court proceedings relating to case, including providing court testimony. Produce initial, 6-month, and termination summaries for all families. Update Case Plans and other court documents. Monitor visitation between children and parents. Attend foster parent association meetings. Other duties as assigned.

International SOS is looking for qualified individuals to be the Social Service Associate for the Sailor Assistance and Intercept for Life (SAIL) Program for The Navy Fleet and Family Support Program (FFSP) The FFSP serves active duty members of the Navy, Marine Corps, Army, and Air Force plus their eligible family members; active duty members of foreign military services who are stationed in the area; reserve military personnel and their family members when they are eligible for military medical care, military members designated as severely wounded, ill and injured and their identified caretakers and, on a space available basis, military retirees and their family members and widows, eligible family members of military decedents and other groups as directed and authorized by higher authorities in response to special circumstances. Key Responsibilities Maintain current schedules of SAIL Case Managers and Contract Remote SAIL Clinical Counselors providing individual appointments. Utilize FFSMIS to view schedules, to make client appointments, and send reminders to clients to confirm appointments. Manage daily scheduling to ensure clients are notified of unscheduled SAIL Case Manager absence as soon as possible, rescheduling appointments in a timely manner at the client's request. Provide clinical case management to Sailors enrolled in SAIL per published protocols and procedures. Collaborate closely with Sailor's Command providing routine updates regarding Sailor risk, safety, and progress in their recovery in accordance with the DoDI 6490.08. Collaborate with Sailors behavioral health treatment provider(s), and other service providers upon receipt of release of information from the Sailor. Participate in virtual, program-specific, quarterly quality assurance procedures to ensure that all SAIL services provided are safe and of good quality. Document and maintain current records in the FFSMIS SAIL Record System for all SAIL contacts, assessments, and case management services provided IAW Navy requirements. Ensure Command referral information for Sailors who decline or who cannot be contacted is documented in the FFSMIS SAIL Record System. At the conclusion of SAIL services, alert command that SAIL services are ending and advise on procedures if the Sailor's risk of suicide related behavior returns. Report suspected child abuse and domestic abuse/violence to the local civilian authorities and the Family Advocacy Representative IAW Navy and state requirements. For clients wanting to make a restricted domestic abuse report, provide a warm handoff to the installation Family Advocacy Representative or FAP Victim Advocate.
