SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN POSITION SUMMARY:
The Sex Offender Clinician is involved in working with patients, both male and female population, classified to Sex Offender treatment at the Delaware Department of Corrections facilities.
SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Performs group therapy interventions and individual treatment planning for clients.
Performs Sexual Risk Assessment Interviews and writes Sexual Risk and Needs Assessments.
Completes Discharge Summaries for client's post-treatment participation.
Assists in planning and implementing the goals and objectives of programs and projects.
Provides the necessary preparation of documentation, necessary records, treatment notes, and reports.
Write documentation and assessments using clinical language.
Attends trainings and meetings as required and works towards completing Sex Offender Specific trainings to be credentialed on the Delaware Sex Offender Management Board.
SEX OFFENDER TREATMENT PROGRAM CLINICIAN MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Must have a master's degree in psychology, social work, or counseling.
Licensed (i.e., LCSW, LPCMH), or actively working toward a license. Note - a LMSW is not considered a clinical license.
Must obtain licensure testing within 6 months of completing the required number of supervised hours and actively work towards obtaining credentialing with the Delaware Sex Offender Management Board (DE-SOMB).

Responsibilities: The role of our Intake & Hotline Counselors are to answer the Hotline providing callers and clients direct service links to external resources necessary to establish safety in leaving a domestic violence situation. Answering the Hotline, Providing information, referrals, crisis intervention, options on counseling services, and safety planning for callers.
Ensuring a Trauma informed client intake and orientation with DV counseling and support.
Assist the OSH (Office of Supportive Housing) Intake staff by assessing the needs of the person/s presenting for service and arranging direct access to the DV shelter or other safe option.
Provide information related to maintaining safety, available options, services or referrals and connect clients to those services (in the even DV shelter beds are not available).
Collect and report data.
Maintain the daily census for Safe Havens entering hotline and intake information into the database for up to date records.

This position is responsible to assist individuals participating in services in activities of daily living by implementing, supporting, and documenting activities that promote recovery, wellness and self-determination. This position is responsible for supporting community integration. The goal of this position is to promote the pursuit of independence for all individuals participating in service. Essential Functions
Participate in the development and implementation of service/recovery plans reflecting the individual's preferences, goals, lifestyles, and interests.
Assess, teach, evaluate, and supervise individual's skills in the areas of daily living, meal planning,housekeeping, career needs, and social, recreational, and community activities.
Complete written documentation daily that reflects the individual's recovery and progress on their goals as well as staff interventions.
Assist and oversee individuals with medication regimen including PRN medications.
Consistently engages in productive/therapeutic activities.
Encourage and support individuals in developing positive relationships with family and significant others.
Assist individuals through modeling, verbal teaching, and/or direct assistance with maintaining cleanliness and orderliness of their individual rooms and their residence.
Assist or prepare various foods for individual meals as required.
Ensure that any/all dietary considerations are followed. Food shopping must be completed and dietary preferences/concerns will need to be considered.
Locate and access community medical resources for individual needs as applicable and as instructed.
Take regular responsibility in shift activities, including but not limited to site trash removal, changing linens, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, cleaning common areas, which include but are not limited to the living room, kitchen, foyer, dining area, and hallways.
