1970

During the following years, spray foams, which were already known from the preceding decades but only after 1970 did they become an insulation solution, were technically superior and highly competitive on the market.

1978

Sound Seal has been committed to controlling noise in every environment since 1978.

1982

In April of 1982, Jack Doherty sold General Insulation Company to Frank Granara.

1985

In 1985, USA Insulation incorporated and expanded its Cleveland-based operation to Columbus, Dayton, and Cincinnati.

2006

In 2006, armed with the knowledge that homeowners were willing to pay for high-quality premium insulation to improve their home’s comfort level and save money on utilities, USA Insulation began to franchise its model to reach a larger, national customer base.

2008

In 2008, General Insulation acquired Clark Insulation, which became GIC’s 32nd location.

2014

Expansion continued in 2014 with new branches in Birmingham, AL in May and Milford, CT.

2015

In March 2015 the expansion plan for the country entered into a more focused phase.
