Lesson & Scheduling Responsibilities:
You are responsible for the scheduling of all lessons. If there is any cancellation by any party, you will be responsible for scheduling a make-up lesson or providing a substitute lesson virtually.
Be punctual, organized, and presentable. Arrive early and make sure your room is ready. Start and end your class on time.
Execute your lesson plans thoroughly. Engage each student throughout the lesson.
Sustain and monitor the behavior and learning progress of each student and report to the Administrator before any parental discussion is had.
Maintain care/responsibility for school-owned music, musical instruments and equipment to prevent loss or abuse. Make minor adjustments and requests repairs to instruments as required.
Be flexible and generous with students who need extra time and assistance.
Perform the administrative task of filling your roster and timesheet monthly.
Update your roster for the following month the week before so the Administrator can send each student a payment reminder email for the upcoming month.
Communicate announcements or other information as directed by the school Administrator.

Prepare students for any available performance opportunities, recitals or competitions.
Preparation:
Partner with each student for what they want to learn and provide private lesson materials, practice assignments and handouts to achieve that goal.
Review the effectiveness of your lesson plan. Adjust and modify as necessary. Ask your fellow teachers for their opinions.
Clean/ sanitize room and surfaces between each lesson.
Communication:
Reach out to any new students (given to you from the Administrator) wanting private lessons and coordinate the student's schedule and all other needed instructions and materials.
Communicate any and all schedule changes and make-up lessons to the students in a timely manner.
Notify the Administrator of any schedule changes and make-up lessons via email in a timely manner.
Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, colleagues and the Administrator regarding student progress and upcoming recitals or events.
Report student and facility challenges in a timely manner to the Administrator.
Communicate with all staff, including other teachers and the Administrator in a respectful, professional manner that avoids damaging or hurtful criticism, gossip, favoritism, creating factions within staff, spreading of rumors, or other destructive behavior.

The department boasts a well-established Level 4 Maternal and Level 3 Neonatal Childbirth unit and Gyn practice in addition to other Gyn subspecialties. This position offers a unique blend of clinical practice, teaching, opportunities for leadership development and growth in a supportive and dynamic environment with potential opportunity for resident/student education leadership. The primary practice location is situated within a large academically affiliated hospital system with options for academic leadership in teaching, such as residency program administration or clerkship administration, as well as involvement in research initiatives. Additionally, there are plans for co-recruitment to form a robust specialty group that includes additional MIGS and/or URPS subspecialists.
Position offers leadership opportunities such as Clerkship Director or Residency Director.

DENTAL ASSISTANT - INSTRUCTOR - PART TIME - MONDAY-FRIDAY - MORNINGS
We are looking to hire experienced DA's to train to become instructors for year round classes.
Also looking to train Dental Assistants for Instructors willing to travel to local campuses in the Metro Detroit Area as Teaching Assistants and Subs.

Ross Education Holdings, Inc.'s non-profit secondary education centers are working to provide all students with the tools to become much needed heath care professionals.
We are looking for experienced Dental Assistants to become fully trained instructors to teach year round classes as Primary Scheduled Instructors and Secondary Instructors ready to step in as needed for teaching assistant and substitutes as needed. Our schools and classes run year round.

Dental Assistant Instructor duties include:
Teach in the Dental Assisting classroom with 10-20 students, covering clinical and administrative skills.
Learning the material and delivering lectures and demonstrations, working from the Ross lesson plans and curriculum.
Class sessions are 4.5 hours in either day or evening sessions.
This is a part-time position, typically 9-18 hours per week.

Dental Assistant Instructor
Requirements
3+ years' experience in the field and a national certification as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA from AMT) or Certified Dental Assistant (CDA from DANB) and formal training in a dental assisting program like Ross. If you do not have the formal education, you can also qualify with 5+ years' experience in the field and a national certification. *additional requirements or exceptions may be applicable based on the state, program, and accreditation requirements
Interest in teaching or prior experience
Must be flexible and have a passion to learn and grow
