The Geriatric Psychiatry Division offers evaluation and treatment of older adults with a wide range of psychiatric illness. We work closely with geriatric medicine and neurology in caring for patients with complex illness. Our clinical staff includes geriatric psychiatrists, geriatric psychiatry nurse practitioners, psychologists and clinical social workers. The Geriatric Psychiatry Division partners with MHMMCP's geriatric and neuropsychiatric medical-psychiatric inpatient program, one of few in the country. Our care continuum also includes Spring Harbor Hospital and Maine Behavioral Healthcare, a region-wide comprehensive mental health provider. MHMMCP has 700 beds and is the state's leading tertiary care hospital and only Level 1 Trauma Center. The Emergency Department has 63 beds, including a 6-bed Acute Psychiatry Unit. The Department of Linguistics is an undergraduate program within the College of Science, Technology and Health. Linguistics students can major in general linguistics or in a number of concentrations. We also offer several minors. This position will be located on our Portland Campus and will pay annual salary of $50,000. This is an on campus, in-person teaching position.
