The successful candidate will be passionate about teaching and mentoring at every level of the undergraduate curriculum in an undergraduate, residential, liberal arts- centered institution. A minimum of a master's degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field is required, and it should be completed prior to the start date.

Responsibilities

The College of Business Administration (CBA) is one of three colleges at the University of Wisconsin - La Crosse. The CBA consists of six academic departments and one non-academic department (the Small Business Development Center).

Summary of Position: Instructors are responsible for providing quality academic curriculum, instruction, assessment, and for ensuring a productive and challenging learning experience is delivered to prepare students for the workplace and/or a pathway to further education.This position works to promote social justice within the division and the larger academic institution.
Instruction will be primarily in the blended/online format. On campus instruction would be during the daytime hours for the Fall 2025 term.
Essential Functions

Examples of courses are: Introduction to Therapeutic Recreation, Innovative Activities, TR Populations, or elective courses or workshops on special topics such as TR and Adapted Sports or Assistive Technology in TR. Appointments will be one semester or one academic year and may be renewed depending on program needs.
Required Qualifications
A current renewable CTRS credential and a master's degree in therapeutic recreation or a related field [except in rare circumstances where post-baccalaureate certification or licensure or a baccalaureate plus experience can be established as appropriate qualifications for the teaching position].
