NOVA Engineering is seeking an ICC Special Inspector (Construction Materials Testing) in our Kennesaw, GA office. We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a positive attitude and a strong work ethic.
Primary duties performing soils inspections and QA/QC tests. Some travel is required. The position will be predominately field located.
Primary responsibilities will include:
Performing field materials testing of soil, concrete, masonry, rebar, asphalt
Special Inspections (Soils, CMU Masonry, Concrete Reinforcement, Light Gauge Metal Framing, and Wood Framing)
Preparing detailed and complete field reports with all relevant test results and inspections/observations provided
Performing basic laboratory tests on soil and concrete and preparing reports of results
Evaluating site and subgrade conditions on construction projects and providing recommendations
Communicating with clients, contractors, and engineering and technician staff regarding construction issues
Providing assistance to other NOVA team members to promote the overall objectives of the company
Requirements:
ICC Soils Certification is required
2 + years applicable experience with QA/QC testing and inspections of construction materials
Experience with soils and concrete testing
The ability to read plans & specifications
Preferred:
ICC Certifications (Soils) Required
Additional ICC certifications are preferred: Reinforced Concrete, Structural Masonry, etc
ACI Concrete Field Testing Level 1
State DOT Certifications
Nuclear Density Gauge certification

The SCA Electronic Technician Maintenance 2 is required to:
+ Perform both visual and mechanical inspections on all products such as electronic units and subsystems, precision electro-mechanical assemblies or mechanical units, and sub-assemblies.
+ In-process, final and test operations on all Production items to ensure conformance to all drawing requirements; NGC QMS (Quality Management System) requirements in support of Production Contracts, purchase orders and/or internal work instructions.
+ In-process, final and test operations on all Repair efforts to ensure conformance to all drawing requirements; NGC QMS (Quality Management System) requirements, in support of Repair/Manufacturing activities; purchase orders and/or internal work instructions.
+ Understand and utilize predetermined inspection methods (blueprints, diagrams, dial indicators, preset micrometers, scales, fixtures, customer specifications, drawing or inspection instructions and checklists).
+ Perform both visual and mechanical inspections and verifications on all purchased parts, components, systems for all incoming/receiving efforts.
+ Witness test verifications and sell-off of assets through the verification of standards, use of test/monitoring equipment, test data sheets, drawing requirements and other approved documentation.
Other duties include, but will not be limited to:
Assist other functional team members with any associated actions.
+ Inputs of suggested process changes in support of efficiency, and to improve productivity.

Position Summary
The Inspector impacts PSA Airlines' business growth by repairing and inspecting aircraft repairs. In supporting the Maintenance and Quality Assurance departments, will ensure that safe and reliable conditions for employees and customers are maintained.
Job Responsibilities
Compliance of company policies, procedures, Federal Aviation Regulations, and Airworthiness Directives that are applicable to aircraft or component assigned to him by the Chief Inspector.
Proper handling of all parts/components while in the repair process.
Ascertain that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is released.
Coordinate with the Stores Department, when required, on the inspection of parts with obvious defects to determine the acceptability of the item.
Coordinate with the Quality Control Supervisor about calibrated tools that need to be sent out for calibration or repair.
Training and assisting other employees in proper procedures, methods, and practice to be followed in each respective duty.
Initiate proper paperwork for scheduled maintenance.
Inspection of all parts that are on the inspection cart to ensure the parts were received in correctly in accordance with the parts card.
Demonstrate a safe and compliant work environment by complying with the Safety Policy and Procedures Manual and GMM policies. Also ensure subordinates are following policies and procedures.
Make recommendations for possible adjustments in methods and procedures to increase safety and aircraft reliability.
Submit manual revisions as required for any identified ineffective process and/or procedure.
Provide oversight of all maintenance as time permits.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Quality Control Supervisor, Assistant Chief Inspector or Quality Control Manager/Chief Inspector.
Responsible for the Company's Security and Safety Management System (SMS) and associated Safety Risk Management and Safety Assurance outputs.

Qualifications
Current FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification.
At least two years experience in aircraft maintenance.

Must have or obtain CAT II Authorization within 120 days.

Under supervision of the Modernization Manager, the incumbent provides oversight of construction projects. Works closely with contractors and conducts frequent on-site inspections to assure compliance with contract requirements. Assists with the relocation of residents and the preparation of vacated buildings for delivery to the contractor; also, assists with the verification of completion of contract requirements, and the return of completed buildings to occupancy. Duties and Responsibilities
