Day to Day
The responsibility for the position of Technical Support Specialist include, but are not limited to the operational integrity, confidentiality and availability of the IT Helpdesk. This will include the support of desktop and laptop computers, software, configurations and associated peripherals of the organization. The ideal candidate must be able to solve user problems and know who to call to get a problem fixed. In addition, they must be able to effectively work independently as well as with others.
This position is also the first line of support for participants calling in for help with the website. The position will troubleshoot and assist participants in registration, password resets, etc.
The Technical Support Specialist will operate from the most general statements of requirements and through review of the user's operational needs will develop enhancements and modifications to the systems as needed. This position requires testing of procedures, and provides the control point for all user desktop and Laptop software updates and modifications.

Information Technology/Support Technician Job 5 miles from Inglewood
IT Technition Under the direction of the Director of Technology, performs a variety of duties related to the District-wide operation of computer systems; installs and maintains computer applications and provides computer hardware support; assists as needed in daily operations of the Technology Department; and performs related work as required; keeps district staff informed and up-to-date on software and hardware changes, developments, etc.; assists the Director of Technology in the management of information systems security; and orients users to new systems and procedures.
Examples of Duties:
* Provides desktop support for various computer platforms, including Microsoft Windows, Apple Mac OS, Apple IOS, and Google Chrome OS.
* Configure workstations for primary network connections.
* Troubleshoots hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
* Repairs computer hardware on various systems.
* Performs preventative maintenance to maintain optimal system performance.
* Serves as a resource to administrators, teachers, and staff
* Performs imaging of computer systems.
* Maintains the inventory of all computer equipment and peripherals.
* Collaborates with vendors for software and hardware installations, troubleshooting, administration, and maintenance.
* Maintains records in the work order system.
* Pick up and delivers equipment at District facilities.
* Written and oral reports as required.
* Maintains knowledge of current trends in computer support.
* Performs related duties as assigned.
Qualifications Knowledge of:

Required Abilities:
* Learn and effectively use hardware and software specific to MPS needs
* Train or assist in providing training to end users
* Troubleshoot hardware, software, and basic network connectivity problems

* Graduation from high school and
* College-level courses specializing in computer operation, installation, maintenance, and repair or
* Two (2) years of experience hardware/software support in a corporate network
* License and Other Requirements
* Valid California Driver's License and Proof of Insurance
* A+, Network+, MCSA certification preferred
MPS IT TECHNICIAN PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENT
Physical:
Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods; to stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.

CAMPUS AIDE
The campus aide assists in maintaining standards of student discipline and ensures the observance of rules and procedures by students and others on school campus at the direction of the school administrator.
Job Duties:
* Cleaning office and hallway space
* Updating, inventorying, and reparation of classroom Chromebooks and computers
* Updating paperwork and other documents (referrals, school emergency folders, student enrollment, etc.)
* Managing files
* Performing other general office clerk duties and errands (such as sorting and distributing mail and deliveries, etc.)
* Assist with student's recovery program (students check in 2x per week to complete work and receive assistance)
* Active supervision of students during nutrition, lunch, and transitions
* Ensure the safety of all students
* Observe students during passing periods between classes; assure timely return of students to class
* Greet parents in the mornings and maintain security of front gate and sidewalk area
* Light office work (e.g. distributing late slips, making photocopies)
* Clerical work to support classroom teachers
* Serve as a positive representative for our school during interactions with parents, students, teachers and school staff
* Consistent attendance and punctuality
* Supervise after school detention if needed
* Establish good relations with individual students and groups communicate orally with staff, parents and students, react quickly and appropriately in emergencies.
* Operate two-way radio equipment; work effectively with Personnel, students, parents, the public and others.
* Other job related duties and schedules assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
Qualifications:
* Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification, American Red Cross (preferred)
* High School Diploma
* Basic methods of individual and group supervision.

* Strong administrative and organizational skills.

* Bilingual (oral & written) Spanish/Englis
