Position Overview
As the Dev/Ops IT Specialist, you will coordinate with ICS's IT systems and infrastructure while contributing to DevOps practices that support our customer engineering teams. Key Responsibilities
Operational IT Systems:
Drive IT operations, ensuring reliable performance, security, and scalability of systems and networks.
Administer business-critical tools and platforms, including cloud-based services, communication tools, and collaboration environments.
Provide IT support for engineering teams, particularly in software development and testing workflows.
DevOps Integration:
Collaborate with software development teams to implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for streamlined code deployment.
Optimize development environments for efficiency and reliability, including managing source control systems (e.g., Git) and automation tools.

Required Qualifications
4+ years of experience in information technology, System Administration or DevOps
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions) and version control systems (e.g., Git).
Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, network management, and cloud services
Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges hands-on in a dynamic environment.
Preferred Skills

Act as an escalation point to troubleshoot and assist in technical support of both instrument software installed on benchtops and connectivity between benchtop and instrument. This includes issue resolution for incidents escalated past tier two support and monitoring all incidents and requests at assigned sites in the service desk tracking tool.

Responsibilities included:
Help develop high-quality software in VB.Net
Develop and analyze database queries in SQL server
Analyze code and component dependencies in a configuration-based environment, with the guidance from a supervisor
Understand process design and technical requirements documentation
Assist with evaluating and building data for test, define issues, and make recommendations
Perform other duties as assigned
The intern will gain experience in working as an individual or as part of dynamic team to design and develop software solutions that fits business needs.
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge of VB.Net and SQL Server
Highly energetic, enthusiastic and confident self-starter
Detail oriented and capable of independently tracking and following up on commitments
Excellent verbal, analytical and written communications skills
Ability to take responsibility and function under minimal supervision
Comfortable working with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio)
Knowledge and use of video conferencing software (such as MS Teams, Zoom, WebEx)
This position is assigned to A&F IT's offices at MITC, 200 Arlington Street in Chelsea, Massachusetts. Currently, this position will require in-person and virtual presence, as assigned by the supervisor. The offices at MITC are MBTA accessible.
