Provides limited technical support for word processing, spreadsheet, database, and other applications. Operate a variety of testing equipment and hardware and power tools. ABILITY TO:Perform technical work in the installation, maintenance, and repair of a variety of computerized equipment and peripherals. Provide technical assistance to computer systems users. Troubleshoot and repair basic operating system software malfunctions. Research, analyze and recommend new system software and hardware. Make routine equipment adjustments and perform routine maintenance and minor repairs. Communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Understand and follow oral and written instructions. Maintain records and prepare reports. Use excellent telephone and interpersonal skills and establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with others. Plan, prioritize, schedule and organize work. Perform work independently without supervision, but also the ability to determine the seriousness of a problem which warrants escalation. Specific knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite. Maintain current knowledge of technological advances in the field . WORKING CONDITIONS:ENVIRONMENT:Indoor environment.
