As a Land Manager, in a hybrid role, based out of a Jacobs US office (with potential to report into client offices) with possibility of required travel to support client projects, you working to support the Land Services team and clients that are located across all US time zones. Additionally, you are primarily responsible for acquiring easements or other land rights necessary for the construction, operation, and maintenance of client infrastructure across the country. The candidate will work with the Land Services and client project teams, from start to finish, to ensure that all land service responsibilities are completed, and that all land rights are successfully obtained to execute the project. Some of the essential job functions include, but are not limited to:
* Handle negotiations with landowners (or their designees) for the acquisition of land rights relative to the construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of client facilities.
* Settle damage claims with property owners (or their designees) relative to property damage caused or created because of the client's projects, or their contractors, during the construction, reconstruction, maintenance, or removal of client facilities.
* Conduct title research, including courthouse and other records offices to determine present property ownership and other property interests of record.
* Review and interpret legal documents, legal descriptions, survey drawings, and related reports.
* Prepare approved legal documents for the acquisition of land rights relative to the construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of client facilities.
* Record easements and legal documents at the local recorder's office.
* Attend all project related meetings, as requested and/or required.
* Provide functional support to other Jacobs organizations as needed.
* Maintain property owner and project files, maps, drawings, exhibits, and progress reports, utilizing Jacobs and/or client information systems as required.
* Support land and right-of-way (ROW) project planning, including development of scopes of work, estimates for work to be completed, and preliminary schedule activities and durations.
* Support all required change management procedures.
* Follow all client technical guidelines or procedures for land services.
* Collaborate with all client contractors or Jacobs' subcontractors, as necessary.
* Act as a liaison for land services as part of multi-disciplinary project teams.
* Track the project quality, milestones, and performance against the Project Execution Plan (PEP).
* Monitor project closeout process as established by our clients, including documenting any lessons learned as part of land service support.
* Act as a witness and/or assist in selection of witnesses in connection with any condemnation and/or other court action involving the acquisition of land rights or other court actions which may result from the construction, reconstruction, or maintenance of client facilities.
* Represent Land Services on internal process improvement teams or initiatives.

We're seeking a senior Project Controls Professional to be a part of the project controls team located in Greenville, SC who has a comprehensive understanding of Project Controls principles, theories, concepts, current industry practices and standards. Your responsibilities will consist of a wide variety of field (primary) and office (secondary) tasks related to the operation of remediation systems and the implementation of environmental investigations and remediation projects. Rresponsibilities may include:
* Oversee or perform field work tasks under minimal to no supervision. Field work such as remediation system maintenance, repairs, subcontractor oversight (i.e., drillers, surveyors, repair technicians, etc.), inspections, groundskeeping, and environmental media sampling with a focus on safety.
* Inspecting soil and groundwater remediation systems. May include routine set-up, assembly, installation, and/or minor troubleshooting or simple repairs of remediation equipment as directed.
* Complete rigorous and clear field documentation and participate in planning, organizing, and reporting related to field tasks. Recording remediation system data, conducting preliminary analysis, and reporting.
* Troubleshooting equipment failures (pumps, generators, air compressors, water quality meters, photoionization detectors (PIDs), etc.) and/or elevating and communicating repair needs.
* Function as onsite lead in maintaining compliance with permit conditions and leading field teams.
* Building and maintaining relationships with neighboring industrial operators and interacting with our clients.
* Office tasks such as data entry, routine reporting, coordinating field efforts, sample packaging and shipping, health/safety/compliance-oriented tasks, and attending Teams-based meetings, as needed.
* Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental studies, or other closely related degree.
* At least 5-10 years of professional experience with delivering environmental site characterization and remediation projects, including fieldwork methodology and procedures. Candidates with more experience may also be considered.
* Experience working on active construction/remediation project sites and overseeing subcontractors.
* Strong attention to detail when conducting field work.
* Ability to follow explicit directions as described in multi-step procedures.
* Experience with using Microsoft Office-based software.
* A valid driver's license with no major infractions.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Traveling to facilities throughout the region (Approximately 1.5 weeks every month)

Physical Requirements:

- Proficient filing and numbering skills
- Proficient in the use common office software (including Microsoft Office and Excel) to accomplish administrative work
- Proven written, typing and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license with no major infractions
Ideally, You'll Also Have:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Bachelor's degree
- 5 plus years of increasingly responsible administrative support experience
- Experience working in a human relations, accounting and public utilities operations environment.
- Advanced or specialized training in administrative support
- Proven self-starter, proactive, ability to plan, prioritize and organize workload
- Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to pay close attention to details
- Proven high level of professionalism, confidentiality, diplomacy and strong customer service skills
- Ability to travel locally to perform all the required duties of the role
