Groomers are responsible for admitting their pets and talking to pet parents at drop off and answering any questions during their appointment.
Educate and communicate with clients regarding grooming along with veterinary needs (training is available in these areas if needed)
Work with the bather to schedule future appointments for pets
Groomer is responsible for their tools and communicating with management to assist in and ensure tool maintenance along with keeping their work area clean and organized Positive and friendly attitude

Job Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years' experience in Cardiothoracic Surgery as a board-certified, licensed Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner. This is a dayshift position, 4/10-hour shifts/week with potential for 3/12-hour shifts/week. Under the direction of a Cardiothoracic Surgeon and within established departmental practice guidelines, this Advanced Practitioner is responsible for performing a variety of duties.
Responsibilities will include but are not limited to pre-op evaluation of patients and preparation for surgery, first and second assisting in cardiac and thoracic surgery, endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting for bypass, as well as bedside assisting for robotically assisted cases. Additionally, the candidate must be able to make rounds in the SICU and telemetry floor, efficiently progressing the patient toward discharge. The candidate will also assist with pre- and post-op patients in our outpatient clinic. In addition to the operating room duties, the candidate must be proficient at removing chest tubes, pacing wires, providing wound care, general procedures utilizing local anesthesia, new consults and discharging patients completing discharge summaries. Experience with managing mechanical assist devices including durable LVAD, Impella and ECMO is desirable but not required. Willingness to learn central line and arterial line placement, chest tube placement and point of care ultrasound is also required.
