Job Details Main Work Location - Detroit, MIDescription The Room Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the guest rooms assigned. Note any special instructions given by supervisor or front desk clerk Qualifications Must be able to sweep, mop, use a vacuum cleaner, dust and wipe surfaces vertically and horizontally. Must be able to work with chemicals such as: bleach, bathroom cleaner, glass cleaner and floor cleaner. Communicate with other hotel departments regarding problem which may need their attention. Provide the highest quality of service to the customer at all times. Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals, items that may or suspect they contain bloodborne pathogens, or sharps (needle) instrument. Must attend and participate in department safety training. Requires working at a fast paced and must be quick and efficient when completing assigned tasks or rooms. The housekeeper will work effectively with the housekeeping team and volunteers to clean the 87 bedrooms/bathrooms, 3 conference rooms, and common areas at the Retreat Center.
