The houseperson job entails ensuring that the exterior of each cabin is kept clean and clear of debris, all home amenities are delivered prior to guest arrivals, fireplaces are stocked and ready for guest use and that any additional housekeeping requests are met throughout a shift. This role will require an individual that can adapt to an ever-changing agenda with a positive attitude. Housepersons will, on occasion engage with guests so must be polite, courteous, and well-groomed at all times. A house person is truly a support person to housekeeping team's success. The Primary Functions are: Reviewing all daily reports and arrival manifests for incoming guests with manager during shift stand-up meetings to ensure that special needs from the department are met. Make sure all cleaning equipment, storage areas, supplies etc. are maintained/stored in accordance with state and federal laws. Follow proper labeling, storage and use of supplies and chemicals. Participate in meetings as required. Follow established security procedures Clean all utility, garbage, mop rooms, etc. daily. Do housekeeping laundry (towels, aprons etc. once a week) Any other assigned task not listed as requested by Property Manager. Common Area Cleaning: Vacuum, clean walls, polish chrome, and clean and vacuum tracks in elevator daily, more often if needed. Dispose of all garbage in the building daily in an appropriate manner. Walls, floors, windows etc. in common areas of building weekly, more often if needed. Vacuum all hallway carpet once a week, more often if needed. Remove dust and cobwebs in all areas as needed. Remove soiled spots on walls, carpets etc in common areas as needed. Wash inside of all day room windows as needed. Wash outside of all windows on first floor and common areas as needed. Unit Turns: Clean vacant apartments completely as they become empty. (Seasonal) Check the pool area for dirty towels, dirty dishes and trash throughout the day. Replace dirty towels with clean towels. (Seasonal) Sweep pool area as needed. (Seasonal) Keep the sauna clean including showers, sauna, toilets and sinks. Remove trash and dirty towels. Keep the fitness center clean. Wipe down all machines, clean the bathroom, clean glass, vacuum, and remove any trash. Clean Meadowlark in the morning by 8:30am and tidy after yoga. Restock Meadowlark bathroom items as needed. Clean out and wipe off vacuum cleaners. On Wednesdays before 4:00pm, wash vacuum filters. Take dirty linens, uniforms and kitchen rags in the lodge to housekeeping for laundering. Take clean linens, clean uniforms and clean rags from housekeeping to the lodge. Take dirty dishes from housekeeping to the kitchen. Restock necessary items in the lodge. Turn around guest golf carts, check the gas, remove trash and replace towels as needed. Always notify the front desk or activities when taking a golf cart to refill gas. (Seasonal) Baggage wrangle when needed. Keep the housekeeping manager informed of the stock of cleaning and lodge supplies. Performing other duties as assigned such as, but not limited to, raking in the Spring and Fall, and shoveling snow during the Winter months, watering Christmas trees, keeping lodge floors free of ice melt. During the slower times the 3rd Shift Housekeeper will work with housekeeping where needed (laundress, runner, deep cleaning, etc.).
