Work Performed:
The Housekeeping Associate will be tasked with the following duties, responsibilities, and assignments:
Clean and maintain hotel guest rooms, public areas and laundry within the hotel per established protocols, including but not limited to:
Removal of all used and unused linen/terry from room
Disinfect all high touch surfaces and unused amenities
Clean bathrooms
Clean glass and mirrors, dust and polish furniture and equipment
Replace burned out light bulbs
Remake beds with clean linens
Replenish supplies such as drinking glasses, writing supplies and bathroom supplies
Empty wastebaskets and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas
Clean rugs, carpets upholstered furniture and draperies;
Ensure usage of approved cleaning chemicals;
Operate, stock and maintain storage closets and room attendant carts to include such items as linens, towels, toiletry items and cleaning supplies;
Maintain cleanliness and organization in all work areas;
Examine and sort articles for laundry according to color, fabric, dirt content, and cleaning technique required;
Use laundering equipment and the correct amounts of proper chemicals to safely and thoroughly clean and press linen;
Make rounds through the halls each shift to ensure public areas are disinfected, clean and tidy, taking care to remove or replace anything out of order;
Uphold departmental standards of quality of work and timing measured by brand customer satisfaction metrics and Atrium labor guidelines;
May be required to train newly hired associates and support on-going performance development;
Perform work on a deep cleaning and preventative maintenance scheduled program for all areas of the hotel as assigned. Use power equipment when applicable;
Observe precautions required to protect hotel and guest property, report damage, theft and found articles to supervisor;
Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures, report equipment problems and maintenance issues, accidents, injuries and safety hazards, or unsafe work conditions to leadership; and

Key Responsibilities:
Support Room Attendants:
Assist Room Attendants in preparing guest rooms for check-in by delivering fresh linens, towels, and necessary amenities.
Help with stripping used linens and restocking the housekeeping carts with the appropriate supplies.
Carry out general cleaning tasks in public areas and assist in setting up guest rooms as needed.
Ensure all necessary equipment, such as cleaning supplies and linens, are well-organized and ready for use by Room Attendants.
Public Area Cleaning:
Clean and maintain public areas such as hallways, lobbies, restrooms, elevators, and stairwells to ensure they meet the hotel's luxury standards.
Replenish supplies in common areas (e.g., towels, paper products) and ensure public spaces are tidy and presentable at all times.
Ensure all cleaning supplies and tools are stored safely and properly in designated areas.
Housekeeping Support:
Assist with linen sorting and inventory control, reporting any shortages to the Room Attendants or Housekeeping Supervisor.
Maintain cleanliness and organization in housekeeping closets and storage areas.
Ensure that housekeeping carts are fully stocked and ready for the Room Attendants.
Assist in the removal of trash and recyclables from guest rooms and public areas.
Guest Experience:
Maintain a friendly and helpful attitude while assisting Room Attendants or guests, promoting a welcoming environment.
Follow all hotel policies and procedures to ensure smooth housekeeping operations.
Respond to any special requests from Room Attendants, or if necessary, relay information to the Housekeeping Supervisor or Director of Rooms.
Efficiency & Safety:
Maintain a high level of cleanliness and organization in all assigned work areas.
Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper use of cleaning products and equipment.
Ensure proper disposal of trash and laundry in compliance with safety standards and hotel policy.
Collaboration:
Work closely with Room Attendants to ensure that all room turnover and public area cleaning is done efficiently.
Communicate effectively with the housekeeping team to ensure all tasks are completed on time.
Help maintain a smooth workflow and assist the team in meeting or exceeding daily cleaning targets.

Experience:
Previous experience in a housekeeping support role or as a house attendant in a luxury hotel is preferred but not required.
