What will you do?
Thoroughly clean and sanitize public areas, rooms, and restrooms; empty wastebaskets and transport trash to disposal area; replenish supplies
Conduct walk-around of assigned areas to ensure the facility meets housekeeping standards; ensure all linen rooms and work areas are neat, clean, and organized
Interact with and assist guests on occasion while cleaning guest and meeting rooms
Report maintenance repair problems to supervisor
Ensure all lost and found items are turned in and logged daily
More about you
Limited to no experience required; previous commercial cleaning or guest service experience preferred
Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures
Ability to work quickly under pressure and follow instructions
Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations
No high school diploma or GED required
Physical requirements
Frequent standing, walking, climbing of stairs, bending, stooping, reaching, kneeling, and carrying; use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete scrubbing/washing duties
Occasionally required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Job Description

there is ever an immediate need for any item, please contact your manager immediately.
● Meet with the housekeeping team at least once a week to collect concerns, struggle areas/trends,
questions and requests and report to your manager.
● Ensure that correct amounts of linen and terry is available each morning for completing the
scheduled rooms; if it is not, make necessary connections with laundry personnel to create a
plan/resolution to any shortages, and inform your manager.
● Follow Red Roof corporate "GuestRedi" room inspection guidelines as it is pertinent to be used
regularly and WITH your housekeepers to maintain Medallia surveys, social media review sites,
and brand inspections.
● Do your utmost to be aware of, and to de-escalate guest issues and complaints first hand; if you
are unable to de-escalate, please contact your manager immediately to train and assist you to
handle the situation.
● Perform regular training and room inspections with the housekeeping team, prior to check-ins.
● Delegate, perform, and log deep cleaning responsibilities as directed by your manager.
● Provide new hires with proper training, paperwork review, expectations, performance reviews,
and accountability to perform their job duties to the best of their abilities.
● Inspect rooms for VIP guests/groups, as directed by your manager. (This may include deep
cleaning and/or providing additional amenities in rooms for extra important guests)
● Ensure at the end of your work day that ALL stayovers have been attended to, ALL check-outs
have been cleaned and inspected, ALL rooms have been turned in as clean on Redistay, ALL
keys and walkie talkies have been returned to the front desk, any necessary communication has
transpired between housekeeping and management, and all carts have been restocked and
secured in proper areas.
● Clean rooms and perform other related tasks as directed by your manager.
