This role supports the Tasting Room Lead on administrative tasks in the daily running of the tasting room, wine club member and everyday customer support, as well as organization of winery events. The Host greets, hosts, educates our guests, shares our unique story and invites our guests to purchase wines and join our membership program. Responsible for all aspects of the guest experience, from set-up to breakdown of the necessary experience elements. To be successful in this role, this person possesses a customer-centric attitude, has strong attention to detail, and can successfully multi-task without compromising on service or professionalism. This is a part-time role of 2 to 3 days per week depending on the season, weekends are required. Benton-Lane is located in Monroe, Oregon, which is about 20 mins from both Corvallis and Eugene. Essential Duties Personally greet, host and execute best-in-class experiences for all guests including members. Creates memorable experiences for guests and members, through educating guests about our estate, wines, history, and wine making and wine growing techniques. Acts as a concierge for guests, answering questions and providing recommendations for local restaurants, wineries, activities etc. Responsible for set up, and breakdown of tasting room daily, including set up for tastings for groups of all sizes. Assists with routine housekeeping of tasting room, maintaining spaces clean and orderly for guests and staff. Assists Tasting Room Lead with organizing and executing Wine Club and Tasting Room events. Executes the membership strategy set by the DTC leadership team at the site (reduce attrition, meet membership goals, increase loyalty, etc.) Steps in as back up lead when Tasting Room Lead is not available. Assists with training and onboarding of incoming staff on systems, service, and wine. Focuses on achieving team and individual goals for sales and wine club conversion each month, as set out by management. Assists with inventory count and rotation.
