Responsibilities:- Welcome and greet guests as they enter the restaurant in a polite and professional manner.- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to reduce wait times.- Keep the dining area clean, tidy, and presentable in accordance with health and safety regulations.- Serve as the first point of contact for customer's questions, comments or concerns and report them to the senior management.- Assist the team with any other tasks as required.- Ensure that customers are served promptly and efficiently, taking into account their individual needs.- Assist in maintaining the restaurant's inventory and ensuring that all food items are adequately stocked.- Keep track of customer feedback and take action where necessary to improve the customer experience. - Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure prompt food preparation and delivery.- Monitor and document customer complaints, resolving them where possible. - Maintain health and safety standards in the restaurant by ensuring that all staff members comply with regulations. - Liaise with suppliers to ensure a consistent supply of fresh ingredients for food preparation.- Assist in training new employees and providing ongoing support to the team.- Assist in menu planning and ensure that the restaurant offers a variety of dishes to suit all customers' needs. - Ensure that customer service is at a consistently high standard throughout the shift.- Monitor and manage operating costs to maximize profitability. - Create operational reports and analyze trends to identify areas for improvement. Requirements:- Proven customer service experience in the hospitality industry.- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.- Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment.- Neat and clean appearance.- High School Diploma or equivalent.- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.- Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems.- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.- Possess basic math skills for cash handling. - Knowledge of food safety regulations & procedures. - Commitment to providing excellent customer service. - Able to lift up to 50 pounds. - Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time. - Knowledge of food preparation and presentation standards. - Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions. - Proven ability to deal with customer complaints or difficult situations in a professional manner.
