LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to effectively communicate in English. Must be able to read and understand the menu, write and ring in tickets, and operate a computerized register system. Must be able to suggestively sell menu items. Must be able to communicate effectively with guests in order to entertain.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense and understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables. Ability to mathematically compute proper change and accurately settle checks.

WORK SCHEDULE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet and seat members in a timely fashion and assist them to the table.
Conduct walk-throughs of dining room areas and check for defects, ensuring seating arrangements are in order.
Check reservation lists and make any necessary callbacks.
Wipe down and inspect menus to ensure they are ready for service; print new menus as needed.
Check with managers and chefs for daily specials and other pertinent information.
Draw up server floor plan(s) with assistance from Manager on Duty.
Attend all staff meetings including pre-shift lineup.
Communicate with servers and managers about when reservations arrive and if any other edits are made.
Always assist members and other staff whenever possible - including assisting with running food, beverage service, clearing tables, and any other tasks that may benefit from your assistance.
COMPENSATION
$11-$13/hour, commensurate with experience.
