JOB SUMMARY
PetSmart’s Pet Stylist (Dog Groomer) is responsible for engaging with pet parents and their pets while providing positive experiences and best in class salon services while upholding the company’s vision, mission, values, and strategy. This role shares responsibility of cleanliness and pet health and safety standards.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following and may vary depending on store characteristics and needs:
Independently performs full menu of bath, brush and grooming services and standalone services, such as nail trims, teeth brushing, and sanitary services in accordance with PetSmart’s bathing standards and procedures.
Recommends additional health and wellness solutions with pet parents based on pet’s needs.
Responsible for the pet parent experience and outcomes conducted in person, over the phone and at the sales register.
Greets pet parents, answers their questions and assists with making reservations in the salon.
Conducts salon appointment reminder calls, maintains client records and consults with pet parents on services offered.
Performs check-in and check-out procedures for grooming appointments, including applicable paperwork and rebooking.
Promotes opportunities to grow salon sales to help achieve sales targets and productivity, and any other relevant salon metrics.
Recommends, informs, and sells merchandise and services.
Maintains the highest level of cleanliness, sanitation, and humane conditions for all pets in the grooming area, by performing maintenance throughout the day including end of day cleaning in accordance with the maintenance checklist.
Responsible for taking immediate action when a sick/injured pet is identified in the store; transport to the vet as needed.
Assists and works in other departments as required. Other duties may be assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
Prior grooming experience; or 6 months of experience in the Stylist in Training job with Successful completion of PetSmart’s Salon Academy training and safety certification. program or passes the salon technical evaluation.
Proficiency in computer applications.
Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
Flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and safety measures
Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Associate required to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and use hands to handle, feel, hold, write, etc. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms: stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. The Personal Care Program will provide eligible individuals residing on the Spokane Tribe of Indian's Reservation located in Steven's County with services in daily living activities care and supervision medical assistance; and provide referral information for other licensed Home Health Care facilities in the serviceable area.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Provide basic and advanced personal care services to eligible elderly and developmentally delayed individuals residing on the Spokane Reservation in the areas of:
• Assistance with care of hair, teeth, dentures, the basic personal hygiene, and grooming needs. Supervising client when performing the tasks, assisting client when caring for own appearance.
• Supervising and guiding client when client is dressing and undressing, assisting with difficult tasks such as tying shoes and buttoning, and completely dressing or undressing consumer when unable to participate in dressing or undressing self.
• Supervising consumer able to bathe self when guided, assisting consumer with difficult tasks such as getting in or out of the tub or washing back, completely bathing the consumer if totally unable to wash self. Include giving the consumer a bed bath when bathing in the tub is not a feasible alternative.
• Includes supervising assistance with difficult tasks such as cutting food or buttering bread, and feeding the consumer when unable to feed self.
• Supervising the consumer when able to care for own toileting needs if guided, helping consumer to and from the bathroom, assisting with bedpan routines, diapering and lifting client on and off the toilet.
• Supervising the consumer when walking alone or with the help of a mechanical device such as a walker if guided. Assisting with difficult parts of walking such a climbing stairs, supervision the consumer if the consumer is able to propel a wheelchair if guided, pushing the wheelchair, and providing constant physical assistance to the consumer if totally unable to walk alone or with mechanical device.
• Assistance with getting in and out of bed or wheelchair on and off the toilet or in and out of the bathtub. Includes supervising the client when able to transfer if guided, providing steadying, and helping the client when client assists in own transfer. Lifting the client when client is unable to assist in his or her own transfer requires specialized training.
• Positioning means assisting the consumer to assume a desired position. Positioning includes assistance in turning and positioning to prevent secondary disabilities, such as contractor and balance deficits.
• Assisting the consumer to self-administer medications prescribed by attending physician. Includes reminding the consumer of and handing the medication container to the client, and opening a container.
• Assisting the client with exercise, skin care including application of ointments or lotions, changing dry bandages or dressings not requiring professional judgment.
• Travel to Medical Services means accompanying or transporting the consumer to a physician's office or clinic in the local area to obtain medical diagnosis or treatment.
• Assistance with shopping to meet the consumer's health care or nutritional needs. Assisting when the consumer can participate in shopping and doing the shopping when the client is unable to participate.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
• Must be 18 years & older
• Ability to work in a demanding environment

Responsibilities will vary depending on the current needs of the hospital staff and the season of the year.
Salary Range: $18 - $19 / hour, depending on experience.
Shifts: Sunday - Wednesday 5:00am-10:30am Sunday - Wednesday 5:00pm-10:30pmESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Maintain cleanliness, sanitization, and organization of cages, runs, wards, animals and their personal property (toys, treats, blankets, leashes).
Maintain housekeeping and laundry duties for all areas (includes emptying trash).
Maintain department (i.e. cleaning, restocking, preparing instruments for sterilization, etc.)
Perform general cleaning in treatment, reception and surgery rooms.
Patrol hospital grounds

, picking up any trash and stool material.
Perform work according to established methods or following special instructions.
Follow the hospital policies and procedures.
Complete other duties as assigned specific to the department.
OTHER DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES to be completed under the direction of the technician(s) on duty:
Observe and report animal appearance and activity for general physical condition, obvious signs of illness, disease and discontent to technicians and/or veterinarians for any animals.
Perform needed cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used in job assignments

Feed each animal as instructed and record appetites; keep dishwashing area sterile, clean, and neat.
Provide support to technicians as directed; this may include assisting with and setting up for procedures, as well as giving baths (ordinary cleansing) and grooming as may be necessary to the treatment and constant cleanliness of each animal (as needed or if stay is longer than 5 days).
Safely restrain dogs and cats for various medical procedures.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE and SKILLS
Must be able to use cleaning materials and equipment with skill and efficiency.
Must be able to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
Maintain cooperative relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
Must be willing and able to learn to administer medications and recognize abnormal conditions.
Basic knowledge in animal behavior and care is preferred.
Experience in a veterinary hospital or related medical field is preferred.

May be required to use strength and/or agility in walking and restraining stronger, more active animals.

Cascade Trauma and Acute Care Surgery (CTACS) is a premier group of surgeons and advanced practice providers specializing in Trauma Surgery, Surgical Critical Care, and Acute Care Surgery (emergency general surgery). We were established in 2024, in collaboration with MultiCare Tacoma General Hospital and Washington Emergency Care Physicians. CTACS is 100% physician owned with a focus on quality patient care. Our mission is to deliver top-tier care at one of the South Puget Sound region's busiest tertiary referral centers. Committed to excellence, our surgeons hold double board certification in General Surgery and Surgical Critical Care, and the Advanced Practice Providers bring extensive expertise. We aim to continually advance the practice of surgery and trauma and never accept the status quo. CTACS is seeking a team work oriented, experienced, and adaptable Advanced Practice Provider (ARNP or PA-C) who thrives in a dynamic workplace, to join our cohesive group of APPs and Surgeons in providing outstanding care to the ACS and Trauma patients of Tacoma General Hospital. Trauma, Surgical Critical Care, and OR experience is preferred, however candidates who possess a portion of these requirements will be considered. JOB DUTIES:
Provide comprehensive care to ACS and trauma patients in collaboration with attending physicians
Autonomously performs specialized patient procedures: Intubation, ventilatory management, arterial line placement, central venous catheter placement, chest tube insertion, conscious sedation, joint reduction, laceration repairs, POCUS
First assist with a wide range of surgical procedures: laparoscopic/open, rib fixation, robotic assisted laparoscopic operations
Assist in the evaluation, diagnosis, and management of acute care surgical patients, including those requiring emergency surgical intervention.
Coordinate and participate in patient rounds, providing updates on patient status, treatment plans, and discharge planning.
Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans for patients admitted to the ICU, PCU, and med/surg floors, ensuring continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
Collaborate with nursing staff, case managers, and other allied health professionals to facilitate efficient patient flow and transitions of care.
Participate in trauma and acute care surgery quality improvement initiatives, including M&M reviews
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their medical conditions, treatment options, and post-discharge care instructions.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient encounters, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record system.
Demonstrate a commitment to professional growth and development through ongoing education, training, and participation in departmental activities.

WHEN:
Full-time employment is thirteen 12-hour shifts each month. Coverage is 24/7 rotating day/night shifts, including weekends, and rotating holidays.
