Job Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP-PA/NP)-Family Medicine will be in the Family Medicine Department. The Provider is responsible for providing clinical services and care, primarily providing telehealth care through the Advanced Care for Rural Oklahoma program. This GRANT FUNDED position will facilitate care in accordance with the State of Oklahoma and Oklahoma State University policies. This is a Staff Position within the Department of Family Medicine and will report directly to the Chair of Family Medicine.
APP Principal Responsibilities:
Clinical Practice (95%)
* Providing primary care medicine services to patients in the outpatient setting which may include in person and virtual medicine efforts in Tulsa and OSU Medicine and affiliated partners in rural Oklahoma.
* Travel to an engagement with affiliated partners in rural and underserved Oklahoma.
* Provide onsite care for patients who adversely react to contrast media used during MRI procedures at OSU Biomedical Imaging Center.
* Ensure compliance with OSUCHS, state, regulatory and accrediting bodies as well as organizational policies and procedures regarding the delivery of health care.
Administrative Responsibilities (5%)
* Dedicated to serving as a student preceptor (Physician Assistants only at this time).
* Providing classroom and laboratory instruction as well as other duties requested by the PA program.
* Engage in research programs as the opportunity arises.
* Other duties as assigned by the Chair of Family Medicine. These duties could include but are not limited to community engagement, assistance in establishing effective clinical workflow, committee assignments, and engagement in project team meetings.
