Reports To The Caregiver/HHA will report to Wellness Director. The Care Manager is a non-exempt, hourly position. Assists residents in all aspects of their daily life as indicated in the resident's care plan, including personal care, food service, housekeeping, laundry, behavior management, socialization, and activities. Responsibilities and Duties Provide resident care to residents that include bathing, dressing, toileting, and feeding, as outlined in their care plan Maintain the safety, comfort, dignity, and confidentiality of all residents Escort residents to meals and activities Ensures all assigned residents are clean, neatly dressed and groomed, safe, and fed during assigned shifts Document all services provided to your assigned residents during your shift Report any change of condition in a resident immediately to your supervisor Start Rate of pay: $19/hour Qualifications Qualifications Certified and valid NYS Home Health Aid certificate Knowledge and experience in working with the elderly population, preferred dementia experience Physical Abilities While performing the duties of this job, the associate is often required to stand, walk, sit, use fine and gross motor skills, reach with hands and arms, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell. An individual in this position will be required to lift or carry weight in up to 50 lbs. Intermittent physical activity includes lifting and supporting residents. The role will primarily be in Bridgehampton, Long Island, with occasional travel between Long Island and NYC. The companion will support the Ms., who has mobility challenges due to Parkinson's, and offer light assistance to her partner. This is a live-in or live-out position. The couple travels to Jamaica in the winter (Dec-March). Responsibilities: Assist the 75-year-old wife with mobility when needed and daily activities, ensuring her safety, especially when navigating stairs Drive the couple between their residences in Long Island and NYC Run errands, including grocery shopping, picking up dry cleaning, and collecting mail Prepare simple meals (breakfast and dinner) for the couple Light household tidying and organization (housekeepers come twice a week) Provide companionship without being intrusive, especially when the wife is home alone House-sit and manage light duties such as mail collection, plant care, and organization during the couple's winter travels Requirements: Valid driver's license (car available for use) Experience working with elderly individuals with mobility issues preferred Compassionate, trustworthy, with a sense of humor and adaptability to changing situations Ability to provide companionship in a warm and engaging manner Minimum 2 references Background check upon contingent offer of hire Must be comfortable with cat/dog in the home Additional Details: Domestic travel required between Long Island and NYC When the couple is in Jamaica (Dec-Mar), duties will be lighter, focused on house-sitting and occasional errands Open to live-in or live-out arrangements depending on the candidate's preference This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being part of a family environment and can offer both practical help and kind companionship.
