Performs household tasks essential to maintain patient in clean safe environment (changing bed linens, dusting patient's room, patient's laundry, etc). 10. Promotes mental alertness of patient through conversation and purposeful activity. 11. Measures and records fluid intake and output, 12. Promptly reports changes in the patient's condition, behavior or appearance to the Home Health Nurse, and/or Supervisor of Clinical Services. 13. Completes appropriate records on a daily basis in accordance with Agency policy and procedures. 14. Attends staff meetings and in-service programs as scheduled. Qualifications A certificate of completion from an approved home health aide training program; or, Certified as a nurse aide by the State of Pennsylvania; or has completed first year clinical studies at an N.L.N. approved school of nursing or High school diploma or GED preferred, One (1) year experience as nurse aide in a hospital, nursing home, or home health agency. Successfully compietes Agency competency test. Valid driver's license. Ability to follow oral and written instructions. Ability to complete simple reports Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient information. Ability to demonstrate fact and good judgement inworking with those who are ill and their family/significant others Ability to use good body mechanics to meet physical job demands.
