MEDICAL DIRECTOR (PHYSICIAN) POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Physician works under supervision of the Site Medical Director with broad latitude for independent judgment and initiative and is an integral part of the medical team at their facility. The Staff Physician is expected to take a leading role in the delivery of health care services to our patients.

MEDICAL DIRECTOR (PHYSICIAN) MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must be a licensed Physician in state of employment.
Current DEA registration.
Board certified and qualified by state laws/regulations to practice medicine.
MEDICAL DIRECTOR (PHYSICIAN) ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Ensures Medical Record documentation is in SOAP format, problem oriented and corresponds to the therapeutic order.
Ensures all documentation is timed, legible, and signed.
Ensures all verbal or telephone orders are countersigned within seventy-two (72) hours.
Adheres to approved formulary for therapeutic regimens before utilizing non-formulary procedure.
Documents pertinent observations and logical conclusions to validate need for non-formulary medication on non-formulary request form for Medical Director's approval when non-formulary medication is ordered.
Utilizes available in-house resource personnel for treatment and resolution of identified problems before utilizing off-site referral.
Provides emergency treatment on-site and responds appropriately in urgent or emergency situations.
Demonstrates proper technique for cardiopulmonary resuscitation and related drug therapy.
Supports standards of medical care through adherence to existing policies and procedures.
Serves as a resource to other professional or non-professional personnel providing instructions as needed.
Attends medical staff meetings as required. Provides monthly in-service education of staff as requested.
Participates in monthly review of quality care and chart reviews as requested.
Sponsors Physician Assistants as required.
Notifies Site Medical Director and/or Site Health Services Administrator of schedule changes.
Assists in the arrangement for coverage of medical services if unavailable for extended period of time.
Other duties as requested by the Site Medical Director.

Functions as part of the hemodialysis health care team as a Staff Registered Nurse to ensure provision of quality patient care on a daily basis in accordance with FMS policies, procedures, and training. Assesses patients' response to hemodialysis treatment therapy, making appropriate adjustments and modifications to the treatment plan as indicated by the prescribing physician. Communicates problems or concerns to the Team Leader or physician.
Identifies and communicates patient related issues to Team Leader or physician.
Initiates Initial and Annual Nursing Assessment, and ongoing evaluation and documentation of patient care needs according to FMC Policies and Procedures.
Actively participates in the pre-evaluation, initiation, monitoring, termination, access homeostasis, and post evaluation of patients receiving hemodialysis treatment therapy according to established FMC procedures.

Reviews, transcribes, and enters physician lab orders accurately into the Medical Information System.

Ensures correct labs tubes are utilized for prescribed lab specimens and that lab draw and processing procedures are performed appropriately for all lab samples.

Ensures all FMCNA policies regarding patient admission, transfer, and discharge are appropriately implemented.

This is a part-time position with a short-term agreement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES includes the following:
Help disciple athletes in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Responsible for building and maintaining healthy relationships with athletes that help with the athlete's experience and retention.
Aid the head coach in recruiting new athletes to the program.
Train student athletes alongside the head coach during practice sessions and competitions.
Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.
REPORTING RESPONSIBILITIES
Serves as member of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics reporting directly to the Head Men's/Women's Golf Coach.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work with peers and students. Must be willing to maintain flexible schedule. Experience with Excel spreadsheets, MS Word required. Ability to prioritize, complete multiple tasks & possess good interpersonal, communication and writing skills. EXPERIENCE
Collegiate coaching experience preferred.
