    Psychiatrist The Physician will provide high quality, appropriate services to patients entrusted to the care of Highland-Clarksburg Hospital. The Physician will display a high regard and respect for Highland-Clarksburg Hospital's patients and their families, facility staff, and community agents who serve in collateral positions to assist in patient recovery. JOB DUTIES: Duties to Be Performed by Physician Physician shall have and perform the following duties: a. Physician shall report directly to the Chief Medical Officer. b. To provide physician and consultation services within Physician's specialty and / or experience to the patients of HCHI on such dates and at such times as may reasonably be established by HCHI. c. To provide on call coverage for HCHI on such dates and at such times as may reasonably be established by HCHI for the purpose of providing inpatient, consultation, evaluation and emergency physician services within Physician's specialty to the patients of HCHI. d To perform such other duties as may from time to time be assigned to her/him by HCHI. e. To provide such physician services in a courteous, professional, competent, and efficient manner. f. To provide such physician services in accordance with a national standard of care; accepted methods of practice; the accreditation standards of the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations; the Code of Ethics of the American Medical Association; and all applicable federal, state, and local laws. g. To have and maintain an unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of West Virginia. h. To have and maintain membership on the active staff of the medical staff of HCHI Hospital and to actively attend and participate in Medical Staff meetings. i. To have and maintain such clinical privileges at HCHI as are necessary for physician to perform all of Physician's duties under this employment agreement. j. To have and maintain participation in the Medicare and Medicaid Programs. k. To participate in such other third party payer programs as HCHI may designate from time to time. l. To have and maintain a valid Drug Enforcement Administration number. m. To serve in such offices and on such committees to which Physician may be appointed by the Chief Medical Officer or Chief Executive Officer of HCHI or to which Physician may be appointed or elected by the Medical Staff of HCHI. n. To be subject to and abide by the Bylaws and Rules and Regulations of the Medical Staff of HCHI. o. Provide all diagnostic services for their patients consistent with their specialty. p. Supervise staff assigned under them. q. To be subject to and abide by the policies and procedures of HCHI. Qualifications QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Medical degree (M.D. or D.O.) from a medical school that is accredited by the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC), the Commission on Osteopathic College Accreditation (COCA) or the Federation of State Medical Boards (FSMB); completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency training program; completion of an accredited fellowship for those with subspecialty training; board certification or eligibility; the ability to obtain an unrestricted West Virginia medical license; and relevant experience. Language Skills: Ability to read and interpret instructions and documents, and to follow procedures. Ability to write routine reports and speak effectively with patients and their families, HCHI employees and the public. Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form. Certificates, License, Registration: Unrestricted WV Medical License and unrestricted DEA license. If not board certified, must be board eligible in psychiatry and / or a psychiatry subspecialty. Current Professional Liability Insurance (if applicable) of $1 million and $3 million. Other Skills and Abilities: Computer literate, working knowledge of Windows, and readiness to work with electronic medical records. Position Summary: In the inpatient behavioral health setting, the behavioral health technician interacts with patients in a variety of wellness dimensions, including social, recreational, diversional and/or vocational health. Behavioral Health Technicians provide assistance to the patients regarding their personalized care plans, in capacities relating to nursing care, therapy, and group activities. Behavioral Health Technicians play an integral role as part of the healthcare team. JOB SUMMARY: The Behavioral Health Technician works under the direct supervision of the Program Manager of the unit and is responsible for monitoring and reporting of patient behaviors, following daily scheduled patient activities, basic behavior management and intervention, assisting in daily care, crisis situations, and medical emergencies as needed as an integral part of the multidisciplinary team. Reports to the Nurse Manager. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Maintains a constant awareness and supervision of patients including during attending gym/yard activities, crafts/art/group/recreation therapies and outing trips as assigned. Remains alert and aware of potential safety issues at all times. Alleviates any safety issue discovered by self, if appropriate, or by notifying appropriate persons for assistance as necessary. Follows Highland-Clarksburg Hospital policies and procedures including personnel, nursing, and administrative policies. Maintains patient confidentiality at all times. Serves as a positive role model for patients and peers providing examples of appropriate behaviors, effective communication, and conflict resolution. Encourages open, honest communication to facilitate problem solving on the unit. Reports to the Nurse Manager or designated administrator any unprofessional conduct or behavior involving patient care or conduct in violation of unit or Hospital policies. Charts daily in patient records. Individual is self-motivating and assists with unit cleaning, organization of new admits charts, filing, etc. Initiates patient/employee incident reports. Provides a verbal report/briefing to the oncoming shift. Individual will have a basic knowledge of stages of development throughout the life span. Understanding of common psychiatric disorders and various treatment modalities of children, adolescents, adults, geriatrics and/or dually diagnosed patients according to area worked. Leads educational and/or skills-based groups with patients. Assists with activities of daily living. Obtains and records vital signs and documents all care as required by company policy and in compliance with state and federal regulations. Contributes to the patient assessment and care plan. ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES: Participates in quality assurance activities and staff development/training programs as assigned. Attend in services and staff meetings on a regular basis. Seeks opportunities for self-growth from internal and/or external sources and initiates the process requesting attendance through the nurse manager. Actively participates in unit therapeutic activities according to program schedules. Assists with training of peers as assigned.
