RESPONSIBILITIES
Studiously learn the necessary aspects of drain, waste, vent (DWV), water systems, and other aspects including but not limited to setting of tubs and installation of plumbing fittings and fixtures.
Accurately build and install complete plumbing systems showcasing a clear understanding of all types of plumbing fittings.
Ensure adherence to safety and quality of work standards.
Deliberately manage materials needed for various projects.
Steadily accumulate knowledge of basic tools required for plumbing work (soldering, cutting, and notching) and be able to put that knowledge into use within thirty (30) days.
Precisely and regularly maintain a clean and organized jobsite.
Thoughtfully follow directions and processes given by site leadership.
Enthusiastically motivated to learn the plumbing trade.
Maintain compliance with state trade licensing programs.
Build knowledge of Plumbing Code.

Must be able to climb or balance regularly.

Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with the fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Wear job site-specific personal protective equipment and be able to lift at least 50 pounds.

75% (1) Perform assigned tasks in timely manner: mowing, trimming, cleaning, clearing, painting, watering, sweeping, planting, and ditching as needed. Maintain athletic fields, ball diamonds, athletic courts, green spaces, cemeteries, right-of-ways, bike paths, walkways, park facilities, cutting grass, trimming shrubs, seeding fields, equipment; assist with litter pick-up and restroom cleaning as well as provide support to community special events.
20% (2) Attend all assigned meetings and trainings and inform supervisors of suggestions or ideas that could better the City operation. The seasonal AmeriCorps members will help facilitate age-appropriate programming, games, crafts, and other recreational activities during camp sessions on topics such as nature, art, plants, trees, plant-insect interactions, environmental awareness, water, and more.

Assisting Learning & Engagement staff in leading all camp sessions.
Assisting in implementation and creation of new engagement activities such as themed, regular Nature/Learning Walks, Wagon Tours, etc.
