Following established procedures and working under supervision, perform a variety of job duties in the packaging. Heavy lifting may be required. Must be able to work on short notice. Must maintain accurate records. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Job Functions:
1) Review pertinent information with the previous shift i.e. mechanical issues etc.
2) Straighten the product prior to the slicer
3) Monitor slicer infeed to prevent jam-ups
4) Take thrift or damaged product off the line
5) Rack off product if line breaks down
6) Pack the product into baskets in accordance with the specifications
7) Remove all baskets that are broken and store in pre-determined area
8) Assist the Packaging Attendant when possible
9) Clean equipment
10) Remove trash as necessary
11) Neatly and accurately fill out all necessary documentation (Ex. HACCP - CTS)
12) Maintain a safe neat and clean work area accordance with GMP and good housekeeping practices

A Brief Summary of This Position
Valmont is currently seeking a highly motivated and talented individual for the Skilled Labor position in the Tampa, Florida Coatings Division. We are looking for a highly driven individual that possesses a good work ethic, positive attitude, and attention to detail.
Essential Functions:
Maintain a safe, clean, and productive working environment

Hand wire small to medium-sized parts to racks for pickling or galvanizing

Job Description:
Following established procedures and working under supervision, performs a variety of job duties in the production make-up, packaging, and shipping operations. Will relieve and back up the following positions: Packaging Set UP operators, Bagger/ Robotics Operator and Basket Stacker Operators. Heavy lifting may be required. Will have sanitation duties as assigned and must drive a forklift. Will work the packaging positions when not relieving or filling in for operators. Maintain accurate records as required by CTS. Perform other duties assigned by supervisor.
Job Functions:
1) Review pertinent information with the previous shift i.e. mechanical issues etc.
2) Performs a variety of job duties in the production make-up packaging and shipping operations, including covering call-offs and vacations
3) Responsible to pack on the line when not operating packaging and shipping equipment.
4) Will back up and relieve the following positions: Set Up, Bagger/Robotics Op,
Basket Stacker and Basket Unstacker
5) Responsible for changing over, maintaining, cleaning, and operating equipment
6) Operator Driven Reliability required for changing and adjusting parts (belts, changeover parts)
7) Must be able to perform simple math functions (calculate percentages, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)

**Essential Functions:**
+ Maintain a safe, clean, and productive working environment
+ Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. repeatedly throughout shift
+ Inspect and ensure the safe use and disposition of production fixtures, chains and hooks
+ Pull and place chains and ropes around steel bundles for racking
+ Hand wire small to medium-sized parts to racks for pickling or galvanizing
+ Loads and unloads racks and fixtures to maximize weight without compromising quality
+ Ability to operate pneumatic grinders, pneumatic strappers, acetylene torches, manual strap cutter, banding machine
+ Using files, grinders and/or wire brushes, removes icicles, etc. so material meets specification
+ Follows all recycling procedures i.e. recycling of zinc from rack, aluminum, spray cans, wire and dunnage
+ All other duties as determined by management.
